I used 1042 and changed the old phone # for my # in all the qpst fields then i dial ##000000# and i put my SID # after that i was able to connect with cricket, i tranfered my service and the i used one of the cabs files that you mentioned and i get it almost fully working now, i jist need to update the radio and fix gps. thanks for all your help and for the great post.

is there a way i can flash my cricket phone without downloading all sorta of things?

Yup, send it to me or have a flasher do it. LOL. Really though on a TP you can do a manual flash and program by doing the epst setting and loading the PRL from the phones file system. But if you want to OTASP and have WAP/MMS you will need to do everything outlined in the tutorial.

i Havee vistaa so i need to download tha activesync 4.5 but its not installing. why is this ?

microsoft activesync is for XP

well actuallyy . . ididnt , it wont install onto my computer. and does the QPST only find the phone if i have the ActiveSnyc 4.5 since i have Vistas.
And wil it still flash right if i let it do tha customization thing because when i reset it. that kept popping up . ?

Activesync is only used on XP like window device center is used on Vista and 7. If QPST is not reading the phone look at the following.
Are all the needed drivers installed, is the phone in diag mode. Does the phone show up in device manager? For customization just let it do it's thing some phones are stubborn.
But ultimately check that you have all the drivers installed correctly. Make sure you are using the correct one for your OS.
