Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
2.1 (newest sqsh) is actually not bad at all. i find it a little slower than 2.0.1 but overall very nice!

And on 2.1 I'm having an issue where I almost constantly get force closes on gapps... and all the related gapps die. I've been sticking with 2.0.1, it's the most usable for me. |

Uh... what? You mean you'd like a cxn manager for Android so you can disconnect the internet? There's a built-in one, if you're so inclined. I know there's a ton of apps in the Market as well, I also know that people were using a widget on the home screen to enable/disable wifi, 3g, etc.

Also, the problem with the battery isn't due to your connection, it's due to the rudimentary battery code. while I'm sure it's being worked on, it's currently far from perfect. Whatever, Android still kicks ass. |

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
lol arrrghhh i just noticed that your info has it listed as touch pro (ppc6950?). lol the 6950 is the diamond. the touch pro is the 6850. not sure if you did that on purpose lol.
i haven't played much with the 2.1 (eclair) but it seemed to run ok for me. took me a minute to get out of the google mail login (everytime i put my info in it took me back to login or create acct). had one force close but i told it to wait and it did fine after that. but like i said, i haven't played with it much yet. |
