Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
Hey guys. I discovered this thread yesterday...AMAZING work you guys are doing! I've been playing with my phone ever since. I'll try to provide test results when ever I can.
So far if i use it like a normal person it works great. Battery life sucks..but you all know that already...Phone works great, Wi-Fi is good, even google location works pretty well and I've had no problems with 3G. Believe or not I'm having more problems figuring out how to get these ring and notification sounds working correctly..lol. Apparently the default tones didn't load. Looks like you guys will have this readying for prime time soon enough! Good Luck! |

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
I installed Flan Gallery...takes awhile to load and works..most of the time...its became unresponsive a couple of times..and twice it locked my phone up. After the 2nd time, during bootup it stop's at the line "failed to find system.img on sd card". I took everything off the card as is and formated it using SDformatterv2.0 and then wrote it back to the card. That didn't work, so I formated again and just started from scratch. Is there another way around this? (staying away from Flan Gallery) Is there a way to load up the Android Gallery?
After the reinstall, 3G still didn't work out of the box so I had to manually enter in the Access point name again like my last install. Good new is that my ringers and notifications loaded up properly this time . However, the apps that come with the package did not install themselves (I assume they are suppose to installed as the phone is setting up for the first time?) Thanks all for now |

The apps that come with the package are all in subdirectories of AndroidApps. They don't install from there. If you want them to install, you have to move them to the main AndroidApps directory. (And you can do that at any point, not just first boot. I'm not sure whether they're removed or not if you remove them from AndroidApps on subsequent boots.) Quote:
yeah, here it is: (14:28:52) infara: aka, KEY_MENU works fine in alt_keymap, whereas KEY_HOME doesn't work at all no matter which button it's assigned to (14:29:06) infara: it seems Anyway, hopefully it'll get sorted out, but I guess as of now it's still busted. |

Some carriers require 2 different APN settings according to that, one for data, one for mms, give it a try. |
