Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
the screen calibration is still all messed up for me. I downloaded the files on the first post on 2/11. I believe everything is set to work and I didn't have to modify anything correct? The eclair.user.conf does NOT have .txt after it so that is good. What is the problem?
I can't even tap the Android on the first setup screen. If I click the lower right quadrant of the scree, it clicks the lower left button (emergency dial) and vise versa. Very strange... |

Don't use a custom eclair.user.conf use the one in the package. If there is a file called ts_calibration or something in your SD root delete it and then it will ask you to recalibrate your screen. it should be good to go there. if not replace the rootfs.img from the complete package as well as the eclair.user.conf

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
I got the calibration fixed, thanks Peterm20!
How do I get the data working now? I have the RAPH800 (Alltel version) but I am on Verizon network. How can I make the data connection work? |

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
If data does not work with an APN setting of Android/Internet, chances are you are suffering the same problem with the RIL as a bunch of us. If that is the case, chances are you will be stuck with WiFi until a new release fixes it. Sorry, it sucks but I'm in the same boat.
About the Maps location, I have had consistent fixes all day today, granted I haven't left home, but it has stayed updated nonetheless. I will check it out tomorrow and see if it updates towers correctly and post back. |

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
install it yesterday and ive been playing with it quite a bit, my issues.
1. battery life is non existance. 4 hours top even playing hard, but then 4 hours with out even touching... 2. charging icon, when not plugged in it say charging, i can live with that. 3. super senstive touch screen. other than that this thing is almost ready for prime time. if battery life could be fixed i would run it 24/7

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
ok I don't know if this is me but when I press the end button to put it to sleep the buttons will still light up when I gently touch them. Also the end button will wake it up and the center button will wake it up.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
The buttons will light up regardless. It's not a bug, it's a feature. If they're not lighting up, it probably means you've locked up. It can come back from that, but if it doesn't after 30 seconds or so, it probably isn't going to.
And I like having the navi pad buttons wake up the phone, so I've left that at default. I think there's an option for it, though. Add a piece to your startup.txt, in the cmdline section, board-htcraphael-navi.wake=X X=1 -- Wake up hard keypresses X=2 -- Wake on volume keys X=4 -- Wake on detecting a touch on the navipad These are additive, so 7 would be wake on anything. And I've never actually tested it, so I don't know if that value, even though it's there, actually works. I believe board-htcraphael-navi.wake=0 should make it only wake up on the power (top) button. |

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
ya these are totally normal characteristics. my phone does that too. the capacative feature of the keys seems to be always working, which is why it lights up when you touch it. i actually think its pretty cool that it does that
