So the 2 newest rootfs killed my radio. The first one from today still worked.

Looks like the RIL autoupdated... but it shouldn't have. I'm guessing it's a transient problem.

Edit: though I see you're talking about it on irc, and they know more than I do.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

Alright, update to the Cricket Data/MMS situation. Ive scoured the threads recommended, and substituted the USCC values with CricKet ones, but to no avail.

Details:
Sprint Flash to Isriam (Drunks Rom)

Cricket Arcsoft MMS/WAP cab installed for correct settings in WinMo

APNs- I reconfigured the Default To be Cricket- Cricket Mobile web, and input all of our wap/proxy settings, However, from the motorolla droid tutorial, I should be able to change MNC to 004, But every time I do, The APN deletes itself, and Never sticks.

Edited PAP-Secret and Options.xxxx (dont remember right now and too lazy to look) to include my cricket UID and pass.

When I go into 'Network Operators, It searches for a good long while, and normally gives me a ' cannot find network' message, or something similar. However when I get past the error and click select automatically, the phone gives me a message saying enrolled in network. Does this have ANY bearing at all on whether my Data will work or not?

Just to assuage some questions, and to make things simpler, The WinMo side is still working flawlessly, Data, Texts, MMS, and Calls. Data and inherently MMS do not work on The android side.

Do not have a router, so unable to test WIfi connectivity at this time.

Any more help would be appreciated.

At this point, Ive pretty much resigned myself to running Android at all times besided when I need a Data connection, then I just boot back into WinMo, do my business, and return. Now that Ive texted in android, I cant go back. I tried an hour or so ago, and ended up sending 10 or so half texts, from where the OS wouldnt keep up.

keep the MCC/MNC at 310/995. They're hardcoded for cdma. I don't know too much else about the situation. I think the Network Operators stuff is mostly applicable to TP2, where they've also got a sim card and gsm radio.

So, keep all the other settings you've got (wap, proxy, username and password -- though I think those might only get read from pap-secrets and options.smd1), but keep the mcc/mnc, and see if you've got any luck.

I'm with you with texting. With Google Voice, it's even better. (Sorry, don't mean to rub the lack of data issue in your face.) And with WinMo, TP1 and TP2, it's... pretty bad.

Agreed. The one big issue I have with the Google Voice app for Android is it doesn't tell you what's in the message in the status bar?!? What's up with that? The messaging app is great, it actually scrolls the message in the notification bar... but now I get 2 alerts every time I receive a txt. Blargh.

However, if this was the worst problem I had with Android, I'd be ecstatic. Unfortunately, there's a lot of other problems :D Devs are making great progress tho. Hopefully we have a NAND soon... Not sure how long I've been saying that, but I'm going to keep saying it until we have one!!
