Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
got it all up and running thanks.
battery question. its running really hot to the touch. also it says my battery is dying and then will go up and back down, as soon as i soft reset to check it in winmo ive got half battery life. this normal? oh, and is this still best to run on a sd card by itself? |
Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
Yeah, the battery status is really bad at the low end. Don't trust it. As far as running super hot, it does that, too, though people have been reporting that it's doing better lately. Sometimes things get running that shouldn't, and that causes the heat to start pouring out. Wifi or bluetooth stuck on, network trying and failing to connect constantly, etc.
You can play with turning off sync, turning off the radio entirely, turning off wifi, to try to track down the source of the heat. |
Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
okay ill do that, is there a way to turn off the low battery notifications?

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
I think you can by adding to cmdline, in startup.txt,
Code:
htc_battery_smem.fake=1 |
Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
eh ill let it run then, dont want to make any negative changes.
should this still be run on a empty SD? |

Can someone confirm that it actually works? I will add it, but I don't want to spread misinformation.
