On the Today screen in Settings I can change the theme (Classic Blue, DVF Green, etc) and there is a checkbox at the bottom that says "Use this picture as the background"

From the Home screen, with the clock and weather, Slide the bottom slider tab all the way to the right, to the "SETTINGS" tab page. There you should see "personalize", tap that and when it says would you like to use the default wallpaper, say yes.

OK I feel stupid now. That was it. I was trying to do it by selecting Start...Settings....Today screen.

One more question, is there an easy way to change the text color for the date, "Call History" and "Calendar" links My backgound is a light color and you almost don't see those items.

Oh, Myself, i think its the only way to go for wallpapers. I was a big fan of panoramic, till I seen this. Im just havin a hard time makin my own. Ive figured the whole process of usin the app. I could just use others, but id like to make my own.

On another note, anyway to make the calender text dissapear all together? Or a little sexier icons. everyones ive tried including the rabbit ones dont work for me. I dont know if it was rom related or what.

anyone have any advice or guidance for me in the question above? Im still gettin only taskbars everytime i try a wallpaper on my own. im including converted wallpaper and all. i dont get it. i had it workiing for 2.1. what am i missing?

what 2.5 are you using? if its the new 1922 with landscape it doesnt work with that yet.

yeah, it took me a couple hours to figure that out on war. Im using nrg's 1920 dec 17th standard edition. I have the above wallpaper workin. but it was in a thread for wallpapers. When i try my own, i get nowhere near a 904kb file like the one im using now. When i try it i get taskbars and softkeys only. no picture. now i can manually go in set the wallpaper it cut out for the picture in hdwalls, but its nowhere near the quality. help. im using HTC Sense v2.5 & WM 6.5 - All Tabs - No Compression.
