wetbar what ever u do just hard reset it took me 2 time and do what dragon 2 says it work mine is working right now this is how i sent this from my paptop with phone as modem awsome so glad to have it back working it is like i found a long lost child im almost ready to cry i will name my next born after dragon 2 o forgaot cant have anymore.

I'm in a hurry and want to make sure I've got this straight... just seemed a little too easy!

I'm running Sprint stock Rom, and will need to tether tomorrow. Just downloaded stealth cab to phone, installed, reset, went to internet sharing, plugged in USB, changed to Phone as Modem, and hit connect. It seems to connect fine. I'm sure this is a stupid question but just want to make sure I've done this the right way to avoid being detected/charged. I'm seeing where some have had to do registry edits and such...and wondering if I've missed something?

ok my pc says it is connected in the network connects, but the phone says waiting for network. Once I try to get out of the data connections tab it popa up and says error 67.

opps I didnt see boo boo regedit stuf, so I didnot do that yet. where can I get a good regedit program?

Hey boo boo #2 on your post says - "install - ICS_and_WModem_Fix cab" where is the cab is that the same one as the #1 in the first link up there? Here is the link just so you dont have to scroll back up

It just does not call it ics or modem fix. I may have missed that step. I install the #1 some time ago and installed the other attached file in this tread from correct today. XDA-Tom_Codon%20CM%20Wifi%20Internet%20Sharing%20VGA.c ab (170.0 KB, 20 views)

Thanks Boo Boo she works great! Hey what kind of speed can I expect from this? Looks like IIm getting 1.1 Mbps sounds slow, seems to be running faster. I checked speak easy and speedtest.com and both told me the same. BTW I using the phone as modem now hehehe

So this is the final process then if I want to connect via wifi and not usb or do you only have to do the regedits if you want to connect via usb?

Install ICS_and_WModem_Fix.cab
Install XDA-Tom_Codon%20CM%20Wifi%20Internet%20Sharing%20VGA.c ab
Install regedit.Mrln_ARM.CAB to make these reg edits.

1 - using file explorer go to Windows\Start Menu\Programs - delete internect connection sharing

2 install - ICS_and_WModem_Fix cab

3. using a regedit program

Extension="" Delete the "isext.dll" entry

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\settings]
ForceCellConnection="Sprint"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing]
MaxCMCon=0

[HKLM\Services\CMGuardian]
Flags = 4 (it's a DWORD if it doesn't exist.)

4 - soft reset
5 - Start the Internet Sharing application.
6 - Select Sprint under type of connection.
7 - Hit Connect In the Internet Sharing application.
8 - Connect to the Laptop/PC via USB
9 - Done. No other applications needs to run on the PC/Laptop.
