modem as phone

Howdy folks, Im trying to find out how to use my phone as a modem. I saw links , but they all led to a deadend. Any clues where to start?

yeah had to read it twice to make sure it said what i think it said, then i got sucked into this thread.

I went to that link download the file, and then ran the file; just comes up as some type of code. Am I supposed to know what to do with that file? DO I copy to my phone or run it on pc.

That link is for S2u2.gif files.

To use your phone in tethered mode (connected via USB cable) go here.

That is the link I am going to. then I click on #1
1) Enable Tethering Stealth Mode - Hook your phone to your pc and use it as a modem undetected.
(SIM card must be inserted into phone)

That downloads 1 file _setup. When I run that file I get stuff that looks like this

- <characteristic type="Install">
<parm name="InstallPhase" value="install" />

<parm name="AppName" value="Internet Connection Sharing And WModem Fix" />

<parm name="NoUninstall" value="1" />

What do I do with that?

What do I do with that?

Move the .cab file to your phone. Go to file explorer locate file tap and follow onscreen instuctions.

you can use wifi internet sharing.... install it, and you should see it when you go to settings/connections...
