Re: modem as phone

This is really confusing. I installed ICS_and_WModem_Fix.cab and was never able to get it to work. in fact, it looks like a lot of people can't.

EDIT: Looks like I was bale to get it working by opening opera on my phone before linking to my computer. No more error 67.

Re: modem as phone

Sprint just replaced my TP with a TP2. It has the latest 2.04.651.4 ROM (although the OS version says 5.2.21889, but that agrees with Sprints website).

I'm trying to get the tethering/phone as modem working. But I'm getting the same "67" errors reported earlier in this thread anytime I actually try to connect. I tried Boo Boo's steps, but everytime I soft boot the phone, the Internet Sharing app goes back into the startup folder and the ForceCellConnection goes back to "phone as modem". Apparently, this stuff is getting forced there in the boot up routines? Is there some way around this? Please?

Re: modem as phone

I can't get Mine to work either. After I connect does my computer suppose to detect it as a modem? Nothing show in device Manager except for some unknown device. What do you do after you connect usb cable to computer.

thnx

Things were so much more better w/ WModem. Wish I can get it to work on TP2. Sprint is really screwing us w/ whatever changes in 6.5

Re: modem as phone

have you tried to flash back to 6.1ROM??? it is in the custom ROM sticky section. you don't have to be unlocked to flash it and see if the old fixes work on it.
if you are relying on your tp2 as your sole internet connection, it might be your best bet.

open internet sharing, pc connection should be defaulted to usb. click on connect, then connect your usb to your computer.
that is the way I have done it in the past.
