with spb latest ms 3.5 i don't see the point of going to winmo 6.5. i used all of the tp essentials and then the battery cab and now my tp can go 36 hrs easily between charges and that is with BT on. i can't stand the way 6.5 arranges icons and with the tp2 and the tweaks it is blazing.

Mobile shell is way better on WM 6.5 than it is on WM 6.1. Let me list a few advantages...

1: The menus are far more finger friendly.
2: Lists are finger scrollable.
3: The broken buttons in the phone dialer actually work in WM 6.5.

All I can tell you is to try a WM 6.5 ROM (preferably Titanium only, no Manilla) with Mobile Shell for a week. After that week, lets see if you want to go back to WM 6.1. And if you do go back, lets see how long it lasts before you go back to WM 6.5.

What would be the best rom or kitchen to use to try out Mobile Shell on 6.5? Does having TF3D built in to a rom like MightyMike but not using it make sense in light of the other customizations to benefit from?

I don't know which ROM is the best for verizon users. I am on Sprint, and have been using indagroove's Titanium only ROM. It's been great with my Mobile Shell. I imagine it would be great for Verizon users as well, but I don't have Verizon to verify.

I saw Malatesta made a Titanium only ROM also that people are raving about, so you might want to check that one out too.

And I can't think of any reason somoene would want TouchFlo built into a ROM if they never plan on using it. All it does is waste resources if you aren't using it. I installed all kinds of stuff to my main device memory and probably still have more free space than if I had TouchFlo (and Mobile Shell) with nothing installed.

I have a Touch that is running 6.5. One thing about 6.5 is battery life bad. It is fast OS but battery drain quicks. My TP2 i can go 2 days heavy usage now. I could never get that on 6.5.

Since I've first used my TP2 several months ago,
I can not read the body of my corporate email,
only the heading (i.e. From and Subject), in the
mail tab of TF3D. I use CommonTime mNotes and
have contacted there support group, and was told
that they could not help with this issue.

However, after installing the latest version of
Spb MS, I'm able to read the complete message
on the envelope in the Lifestyle screen without
opening it.

Does anyone know of a way I can get this to work
the same way in TF3D?

I had the stock unlocked GSM 6.1 ROM for several months before i bought the Sprint version. I used the Sprint version for a month or so with the stock 6.1 ROM. After a week, i installed the Sprint tweaks cab from this site on the stock Sprint 6.1 ROM.

When I finally upgraded to a cooked WM 6.5 ROM, my battery life did not get any worse. If anything, it got better.
