Re: Tellme Installer!!! (extracted from Samsung Intrepid)

Installed just fine on my Touch (Vogue CDMA). I copied the installer .exe to my main memory and launched it. It hitched at 72% which concerned me but it kept going and finally launched. Like others though I can't get it to recognize anything I'm saying. Even simple words like Traffic or Movies won't pull up anything. Not a huge surprise given that I'm trying it on a 6.1 rom with a 2-3 year old phone.

Re: Tellme Installer!!! (extracted from Samsung Intrepid)

This works fine on my Sprint Diamond (text, speak to call, etc.) the local searches don't work even after making the aforementioned settings changes. I'm restarting now to see if it improved.

This worked for me to change the setting for "use current location", so in principle, it should work for the "Sent with Tellme" setting:
  • Open Tellme
  • Tap on Options > Settings
  • Using your hardware keyboard, arrow down to the "Sent with Tellme" checkbox, then hit the keyboard once.
  • Tap Done
If it was "checked" before, it should now be "un-checked".

And to answer someone else's question about the orange box, no, it does not fill in or change color using the method described above. There is no visual confirmation of anything changing - you just need to give it a whirl and test it!

I know it worked for the "use current location" setting!

Re: Tellme Installer!!! (extracted from Samsung Intrepid)

Installed fine for me and search works well enough on the Verizon TP2, but speech to text doesn't work because of touchscreen not registering, so I can't send the text once it creates the message.

I put the .exe file into the storage drive and installed it from there, installed all the way. One issue was the spotty touch responses with the installation, but luckily there were corresponding options at the bottom of the screen with the Windows system. The other issue is in the options page, can't turn on/off the settings through screen touches.

And the last issue I have is the speech pickup, it doesn't understand people with accents too well I can't get it to understand anything remotely about what I was saying sometimes. I sound like I have a speech impediment when I have to talk to it slowly and enunciate clearly. But that's a personal issue I think.

To those wanting to diasble the 'sent w/tellme' text that is in the settings, but unable to be checked on those with the tp2 having touch screen issues with this app, try this regedit:

Hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\tellme\platfo rm - then change the 'settings' d-word value to 7 then save changes, wait 20 seconds, then soft reset.

Let me know if it works for all or not

Wanted to let you know that after doing this edit the "Sent by Tell me " box is unchecked in settings now. I have a Sprint TP2 , looks like it works to remove this sig. Verified as working fix to remove this signature.

Re: Tellme Installer!!! (extracted from Samsung Intrepid)

That doesn't work on the TP2. The touchscreen doesn't work. But someone on here posted a regedit that fixes it... see above this post.
