Re: Sprint dropped price of Touch Pro 2 to $199

Am I correct that all of these $199 deals apply only if you are not under a current contract? I signed a 2 year contract with my TP last year and when I click on the $199 links and then sign in after choosing to upgrade I get the $599 price.

Has nothing to do with where you are at in your contract. It depends on how long since the last time you've used your upgrade discount. 22 months is when you become eligible for the discount

But nah, keep the thread alive. Who cares what sol says.

I still have a list of sites that work. PM me for a site if you really want to buy one. P.S. None of the sites work for SERO or add-a-line. Only new line and upgrades
are these sites u got the exact deals like the citigroup? my girl's contract is up & she's notoriously cheap and hates mail in rebates, but she has been playing wit my phone and $200 she thinks she would do.

I was able to see the $199 link with a two year contract but I think that was because I am 22 months into my contract. If you are only 12 months into your contract, I doubt the $199 link would be available.

Re: Sprint dropped price of Touch Pro 2 to $199

for those who are buying, or recently bought one; incase any of you are planning on contacting sprint for displaying a different handset price under your account orders (mine showed $424), dont! I just got my bill for the month and the mis-quote fixed itself (from the $424 to the invoice price of $214) without me having to confront sprint cs.

I cant wait! the first thing I'm doing when I get back from my trip is tear that sucker open and play with it for the rest of the night

BTW: I'm on the F&F $30 plan incase anyone is wondering

Yes, and that's because sprint isn't techinically allowed to sell us the phone for 199.99(The computer will not let them input it in such a manner). What they wind up doing is charging the higher price, then crediting the difference to your account, and this is exactly what happened with the 424 going to 214.
Just more proof Sprint's aware of this, doing nothing about it, and thus manually allowing customers to take advantage of this deal.

yep, and you can bet that if Sprint were paying more for these phones from HTC than competitor , that someone has been addressing this issue with HTC. That would stand to reason that Sprint is not going to sit there and eat losses all day long just to be the good guy on the block. When other folks dropped the price, Sprint began budging on their attitude towards dropping the price to be competitve...although they had to do it with credits and not discounting the phone. That looks to me like a deal they could present to HTC and recoup some loss or take it off in credit from HTC. I seriously doubt at this point in the game that selling at 199 bothers them a bit, considering the majority of people buying are switching to an everything plus plan . Not to mention they are also probably offsetting any other incurred cost by still getting 349.99 from tons of people. Heck they are exchanging the TP1 for TP2's no questions asked. I would think they have definitely worked something out with HTC at this point. A buddy of mine took his TP1 into an Authorized Sprint Repair Center, they ordered him a new TP2 and did not even ask for the TP1...LOL ..and we should feel bad about paying 199.99 for them??? I will be with Sprint for long time and already have been , they've taken thousands from my pocket(willingly),
and it would take some serious issues to make me switch carriers. Looks like sometimes their little "mistake" can be profitable . They aren't out to make money on their phones, they make it on their network....sorry to rant..but hope everyone wanting a TP2 cheap can find a way to get one...just think , then we might have some real clout when we eed something like a new ROM with WM 7 ...

Re: Sprint dropped price of Touch Pro 2 to $199

Just wanted to confirm that this is a No Go with SERO (Thanks for the links!) The bluefish site lets you order it with SERO, but i'm not sure what to do when asked for an Intel Employee email address for verification, so I bailed and bought one on Ebay for $400. IMHO not worth the $50 discount from Sprint to renew my expired contract, and have them screwing around with my plan.

Re: Sprint dropped price of Touch Pro 2 to $199

well the citigroup link was a GO for sero. Others on Sero who were lucky got it pricematched to verizon over the phone.

I have failed to do either.
