Sorry guys... didn't mean to ruffle your feathers. I know we are all responsible adults here. However I went over my balance when I bought my TP2 and it combined with my bill at the time which put my balance at over 300.00 I was told that some services were suspended due to this. I paid the bill ( also zero balance ) and that issue went away. I hadn't had it before or since. Sorry I don't have a technical answer. I just thought I would share as this is a forum setting and this was the only experience I had encountered. Thanks for hearing me out. I was just trying to help out the same way others have helped me.

This message pops up when something on your phone accesses your data connection and you do not have service.
It can be anything from emails, RSS feeds, Youtube, MyPhone, anything that accesses your data connection. If for any reason your data connection is not available (even if just for a second) and some application tries to use the connection, this message appears. I find it most typically appears right before or after a phone call comes in, as CDMA does not allow voice/data at the same time. Also, if you are between towers or temporaily lose signal this can happen. I do not think it is fixable, except to either disable the message or make sure you never drop the data connection.

Mine used to do this all the time. I don't know if it was something I did or what, but all of a sudden one day I started getting this message. Everytime I woke my phone up, this message was there. Wierd thing is even at night, when I know the reception was good, and didn't lose the signal, it was there.
The only thing I have done was install the goodthingsforlife tweak cab, and I haven't gotten it since. But, you guys are right, its the most annoying thing about the phone when it is happening.
