I guess I will have to deal with this for now. I think the TP1 was better in this aspect of memory useage percentage, but overall I am WAY happier with the TP2. And no I wouldn't trade it for a Hero....

Thanks to all!
The reason for the higher ram being used is because alot of memory is being allocated differently compared to the tp1. On the tp2 alot of the programs are being cached thats why the phone in general is so much more responsive than a tp1 with a custom rom with all the tweaks.

Yeah that is what I was trying to say, but someone else confused me. It is the amount of RAM or cpu usage right Muffin? The higher my number is the slower my TP2 is running, so I have always understood that this is cpu or RAM usage... somebody correct me if I am wrong.

I am just trying to find way to lower mine after I shut down programs. For example when I shut down all my running programs while my RAM is reading say 71% then I only end up getting the usage down to like 65%. When I start my TP2 up it starts off with like 38% usage... Why after I shut everything down, do I get so little RAM back...?

i used to think the same thing too. but then i was told what it really means. this just means amount of memory used.
i hope i can get it like how my tp is. i have had it on since. tuesday and i have only 44% cant wait for an unlocker

Lol, we definitely need to change the title to this thread. I got confused at first.

Yeah, its just how much ram that is being used at the time. I wouldn't necessarily say the higher the number the slower it will run though. I have had mine up to 91% and it was just as responsive as when I use it right after a soft reset or a hard reset, but I am sure if I get up to near a 100% then I will probably get some memory errors(damn you mogul) when trying to open other programs.
