Just to be clear, you freed up memory utilization, not CPU utilization. By applying those cabs, you reduced the memory usage of your device by keeping applications from loading into memory. CPU utilization/usage is an entirely different matter.

Sounds like reducing the memory usage is what you wanted. I am illuminating the difference for newcomers.

I see people posting their connection speed--but why? It's one thing to show EVDO/HSDPA speeds, but I see people posting wired connections and I am puzzled (especially when the speed is not all that impressive). So, in that spirit, I will post mine:
