high cpu usage?

So I have only had the TP2 for about 2 weeks, and I notice that right from the start when I power up it is already using 50% cpu. Is there something I can do to fix this? I dont have alot of cabs running. I have tried uninstalling the flip clock, and that gave me back about 5%.... I dont know what else to do.

TIA

Just to be clear, you freed up memory utilization, not CPU utilization. By applying those cabs, you reduced the memory usage of your device by keeping applications from loading into memory. CPU utilization/usage is an entirely different matter.

Sounds like reducing the memory usage is what you wanted. I am illuminating the difference for newcomers.

Yes that memory thing pops up with this new phone and TP1 MR. They are using more memory thanks to I guess HTC. To check your CPU use something like MEMMAID

Yes I was confused. In the upper right hand corner of the today screen, where you can drop down to see what programs are running and it also tells you the usage, for example 57%. If I have a few different programs running and say the drop down icon shows I am using 57% of my memory, when I close down all running programs, I only get back like maybe 5% of the memory. Am I doing something wrong? On the TP1 I never had this problem.

Even with the fixes I still end up around 60% after a few hours.

Yeah me too. I think the TP2 is just that way until someone comes out with an unlocker so we can put custom ROMs on our devices!

How much is not enough available RAM? Does the phone start to slow down for anyone after a certain percent? Or does it run fine till it hit 100%?
