Re: How to get iGo8 run on TP2 with TTS enable and 2009 NA Maps (step by step guide)
I flash my TP2 to WM6.5 yesterday and got iGo8 working again.
I forgot how to do the shortcut so here I post for anyone that need help on it (I did the first one) : There are two ways I use to make a shortcut in Windows Mobile. The first is to find the original EXE, tap and hold on it, and select "copy". Then, go to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\, tap and hold, then "paste as shortcut". The other, easier way is to install this valuable piece of software, restart file explorer, browse to the EXE, then tap and hold, then finally choose "Send Shortcut to Programs". |

Re: How to get iGo8 run on TP2 with TTS enable and 2009 NA Maps (step by step guide)
I recently noticed that conflipper's weather database program seems to cause problems to iGo TTS. I can replicate the problem on my phone. Installed the weather database and select any city, then run iGO, and TTS stops working.
Uninstall and soft reset, iGo TTS works again. I always install this database when I was running 6.1 because the small town I live is not included in the original city list. Now with 6.5 I can use my Location feature to get weather data. So it is not important now. Anyway just want to share this information. When I flashed the new 6.5 ROM for the first time, TTS works. And then after installing many tweaks and programs, it 's no longer working unless I disable Sense. Took me a couple of hours to test each program and tweak. Finally nailed down to this. I could still be wrong though. Anyone can confirm. BTW, conflipper's work is still great if you don't care about TTS. |

TTS works on the new Mighty ROM with Sense enabled
More good news!
TTS works with the latest Might ROM as well (this ROM is based off of the new Sprint ROM). No scripts or disabling Sense, just run iGO8 and it's good to go! I even have the full Dusk package installed. There is definately something different in the new Sprint Rom. gadget1

Re: GI Skin
Quote:
I have a problem that I haven't noticed through any of the pages on this topic. I followed the instructions that XPSWORM put out concerning this skin, and true to form, it didn't work on the first try, so I deleted the "SAVE" folder and restarted my phone. When I ran the program again, I received this message: FFUIERROR: Unknown layer referenced Identifier=[d_AutoKraLayer] Does anyone know what this means and how I can correct it to get the skin to work?

UPDATE: I found that someone had the same problem in post 274, pg 28 and the solution found on post 320, pg 32 worked.

I'm having a problem with the voices playing from post #1. They appear in the menu, but when I select them, nothing happens. I didn't delete the original voice (Amy) from the "voice" directory. Any help would be appreciated.

How long does it take to launch IGO8 on your phones? I copied my IGO8 dir over to my friend's Palm Pro on his SD card to test it on his phone and it launches+exits almost immediately, maybe 5-7 seconds, whereas it takes a good 35-40 seconds to load on my TP2.
