Try the TTS voices I attached. Read the instruction inside too.
That was the trick. Both the US voices work, but for some reason Kate(UK) still isn't.

TTS has mind of it's own because of memory. Even you got it working after what I told you guys, I trully don't see the benefit of having it on since it's just too much trouble to make it work. FYI it will not work once the memory goes up.

is there any way to make the screen rotate correctly with the g sensor? it works full screen in either portrait or landscape, but only one at a time and it shows only half the screen when rotated using the g sensor. any ideas?

thx

The Magellan GPS alone does not have the traffic support itself, but with the adapter, traffic gets updated.

I didn't get a chance to try it out with the TP2, but if it works, it's a sweet deal IMO.
Have you gotten a chance to try it yet? I'd love to know if it works.

Re: How to get iGo8 run on TP2 with TTS enable and 2009 NA Maps (step by step guide)

Ok, it's high time I give back to people because you've all been so helpful. This is after a good 6 hours of trying to figure this crap out.

TTS worked fine for me before any custom 6.5 ROM. Since it stopped working after that, I knew it had to be a memory issue. However, in my case, this seemed crazy because I had the plainest Today menu and no other programs running. On the old ROM, I was able to run CorePlayer and Igo8 and and still get TTS!

I finally remembered that on my old PC I had a zip file called "low quality TTS". It has Susan and Dave and all that good stuff and it's from when I tried to get my dad's 32MB Mio to do TTS (never worked). I replaced all my TTS files with everything in this zip....PRESTO! It works beautifully. I don't even hear a sound quality difference. You guys can google where to get this low quality zip file because I'm sure I'll be banned for posting it. Just thought I'd give you guys some hope.

Auto detect is going to look for internal ports. I would manually try each port.

Step 6: Use any explore program on your phone to map iGO8.exe to start menu of your phone (hold and chose send to Start Menu as Shortcut)
How do I send to Start Menu as Shortcut? I use file explorer. Hold and chose send... but only can send as email. Thanks for any help.

I can confirm it is a MEMORY ISSUE. You need a lot of Memory to run most TTS voices.
