Is it supposed to automatically import the contacts or do you need to do something to tell iGO8 to import them?

I too would like to get it to read my contacts. I'm used to using Mapopolis to route to a contact address.

Anyone know how this is supposed to work?

I used an older version of iGO on my HTC Touch/Vogue. It would import the addresses.

Does it see them on it's own or do you have to do something to import them? If so, what?

Try install 1 part and see. Try install 1 part of the POS too. I think it will work.

It would automatically import them on startup. I'm hoping it's as easy as a change to the sys.txt file but so for I haven't been able to figure it out.

Can anyone confirm if contact import works for them? I'm wondering if this is specific to my install (Sprint TP2).

I installed for a Sprint TP2 also (following exact directions here). Works perfectly, but contacts were not important -- it doesn't show any contacts.

TeleAtlas is made in Europe.

NAVTEQ is made in God Bless the USA.

So who would you go for?
