actually. the proper way was to install iGo8, copy the voices over, unistall the software, then reinstall it. it was crazy but it work. that's basically what i did here. i copies all the files over first. then copied the voices over. then set one of the TTS voices current (even though i couldn't here any sound from it, then copied over all the software again. like it said, it's odd but worked (for me anyway) |

it didn't matter for me. it just wouldn't work until i recopied everything over. just like the old version. then the TTS loaded as soon as i started iGO8. it was cool.

Re: How to get iGo8 run on TP2 with TTS enable and 2009 NA Maps (step by step guide)
This is a great thread. It's been a big help with setting up igo on my phone which, by the way, is an imagio - haven't had to deviate from any of the TP2 advice.
Only issue is I'm still dealing with no TTS. I've tried all the tweaks offered/suggested here and by other resources but still can't seem to get it working. After a soft reset, I'm showing about 93 mb of free memory (101 with TF3D off). I noticed while exploring my device using ActiveSync a text file titled "!tts_log.txt". It contains the following info: --------------------- number of unfreed blocks at destructor = 149 sum of unfreed blocks at destructor= 49706 unfreed total = 49706 timer sum = 99 --------------------- number of unfreed blocks at destructor = 149 sum of unfreed blocks at destructor= 49706 unfreed total = 49706 timer sum = 112 Wanted to ask you all if you've seen this, know what it's referring to, and possibly if there's anything in it that could tip me off to getting my TTS working. Thanks in advance! |

Okay, final issue...everything works great except...the whole landscape mode when opening the keyboard. I can switch between portrait/landscape... but then slide the keyboard out we get the funky display of half the program... anyone able to fix that yet?

Re: How to get iGo8 run on TP2 with TTS enable and 2009 NA Maps (step by step guide)
I could not get it to run at all.
I copy everything and place it all on my computer as lay out in post #1 and I copy it to my SD card on my TP2. I keep getting this error : "Initialization error: no language files were found." and I have download it from post #83 and put everything in this path: Igo8/content/LANG No luck. Need help? |
