I would not suggest using it on other phones.

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

just a note: Probably my fault, I was having vz navigator problems, and decided to uninstall the tweaks I installed from your really complete guide. my phone crashed, (what happened was after I uninstalled your stuff was that it would not boot, it kept rebooting ), I eventually did a hard reset and with the help of the vzw folks and my company help desk got it back up and functional after only 2 hours. Do you have any suggestions as to what I did wrong, I would really like to reinstall some of the tweaks but am gun shy right now.

Not sure if it's the same issue but, I just installed the clean up cab on a Sprint TP2 and, immediately after the the install, none of the data related aps would work. Bing, Opera, Facebook etc. would just respond that there was no data available. I assumed that it had something to do with the hard reset and the phone being (re-) provisioned for data (I could be way wrong but, that was my wild arse guess). After about an hour and a half all data related aps were working fine, dunno if it was co-incidence or what.

Otherwise, I am a very happy camper with the clean up cab.

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

Just out of curiosity, how old in the cleanup for the Sprint version of 6.5? I did a hard reset and downloaded a new version of cleanup yesterday. It worked much better than the version I used in early April. Since Good Things went missing, it would be nice to know how many revisions he made of the 6.5 version of cleanup. The cleanup by itself works very well and has my TP2 running noticeably faster than the stock version of 6.5

To the above poster, do not install the tweaks cab on your phone. This has been mentioned many times before. I used the tweaks and it really slowed things down. Just use cleanup and you will be just fine.

The setup file in the cab is dated 3/21/2010 so, that's probably the last revision date.

Also, I mis-spoke, I did in fact use the clean up file, not the tweak file. I'll see if I can edit it so as not to confuse anyone.

I have a question. Should I be installing both of the files after a hard reset or just the cleanup. I know the first post mentions to only install the cleanup after a hard reset, but it does not mention if the tweeks are also part of the cleanup.

It could be an oversight on my part, but it confused me. I installed the cleanup after the hard reset but did not install the tweeks and started installing my other apps/regs using Sashimi.

Also is it possible to undo the brightness using the registry. When it is sunny, I have a hard time seeing anything on the screen since it is too dim for that time. The auto bright feature was quite good.

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

the cleanup pack does what the tweaks does PLUS some other things. the first post explains what the cleanup pack does. you do not need to install both.

the brightness is adjusted by going into the brightness setting and changing to taste. there is no need for a reg edit..

Thanks for the reply. The reason for asking for the reg was so I can run it at when I perform the next hard reset (using UcME or Sashimi).

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

i mean you can go into the brightness setting and do what you want right now regardless of what ROM, hack, etc you install.. perhaps im missing your point....

I did a search and did not find an answer to this question. Word Mobile has font options, but I can't find how to access these options for email, etc?
