Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

Signing off from this thread...

The TP2 is no longer my phone... I went with an EVO 2 days ago.

I keep getting reminders of new posts here, so I will be unsubscribing from this thread and wish the best for all of you!

The TP2 is a wonderful phone and served me well. No hard feelings.

And I hope GT2L is OK. He went missing around the time I got here (No, I didn't kidnap him LOL!)

Cheers everyone and have a great summer!

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

I am pretty sure you've already answered this question somewhere in the thread, and if I knew where it was, I would find it so you wouldn't have to answer me. But since I don't, let me ask: if I have used Schap's Advanced Config on my TP2, would using your clean-up package be a bad idea? Should I do a hard reset first? Or is it OK to use your clean-up package as long as I delete AC and never use it again?

And if you don't mind my asking, why do you say to not use them together? Is it just because of the ju-ju being messed with and people may not know what they are doing, or is it because something really bad can happen?

Thank you for your time.

-Tack.

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

if you plan to use these tweaks, you need to do a hard reset first. then only install the tweaks after. it is not recommended to install any custom roms or any other hacks as they will more then likely NOT be compatible with anything else.

Looks like GT2L may also have bought an EVO, and abandoned this forum for Android.

Well, as soon as Verizon let's me jump over to the "Incredible", I may just be doing the same...

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

The EVO is nice. I still have my pro2 but since June 4th I have not used it.

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

I see the "sticky" has been removed from this thread...
So does that mean the (non-ROM-flashing) cleanup efforts are officially over?

The "Incredible" temptations are starting to get the better of me.

No, but the problem with these cleanup cabs are they are not supported any more and with the newer OS's they are seeming causing more problems than they fix.

would have been nice for him to address it, but oh well. It was great for the 6.1 oem ROMs, but just didn't work for 6.5. Now that Verizon is on 6.5 as well, doesn't seem to be much need for a 6.1 cleanup cab.

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

well i have not had any issues with this cab working on my sprint 6.5. the nue battery program i solved myself by just "backing" out of the program rather than pressing "ok". all the other tweaks work.. see i keep my pro2 stock so i have zero issues.

now having the evo since june 4th the pro2 barely gets used....

but yea maybe he will still come in and stick his head in the door to say hi...

EDIT: hey hes online now.. see if you can go catch him. he posted in an off topic thread just last night... i think he bought an evo...
