Re: Severe Battery drain issues

sounds like one of the cells in the battery might be shorted. I would suggest you stop messing with it & get a new one before something bad happens.

My bet is you've got things like the weather updates turned on, or other online features that are keeping the radio running for data.

Re: Severe Battery drain issues

Ok i am NOT saying to lie to sprint BUT i just called and talked to tech support and said this battery drains too fast. That over night i lose power to it and it is not being used.(i think this is from the battery tweak) but i told them it is nuts.Well NO sprint stores have the pro 2 in yet so they said they will send me a new one and i can keep the old one bingo free battery.

Re: Severe Battery drain issues

I have the same problem and what I now thinking it has to do with is some kind of internet connection /data transfer problem.

I found that sometime after accessing the internet and then closing out the phone still behaves like in up or down loading data.

The way you can tell is, while you can look the running task and see nothing open, you will seen on the top screen bar, where you would have the antenna signal strength bar, you will show data transfer bars.

Just power off and on the phone and you will get the antenna signal strength bar back and the power drain stops

Re: Severe Battery drain issues

I installed S2U2 day before yesterday, after having my TP2 for more than 3 weeks, within hours I noticed that my battery was getting drained at a fast rate. I know its not the phone, etc as I knew my battery duration. So I ran a test using my wife's TP2 clean as a whistle.

Part A: Installed S2U2 on wife's phone and found that within 3 hours , battery was below 55%.
Part B: Removed S2U2 , charge phone, left it for 3 hours and found battery at 85%.
Part C; Reinstalled S2U2 and left it again for 3 hours found it at 50%.

Did the same on my phone and found the same behaviour , so S2U2 is an issue.

You should start a thread about comparing different locking progarms and their usage on battery life:
-Default Windows Mobile device lock
-S2U2
-PocketShield
-ThrottleLock
