Sure. And now they have WiFi enabled flights. That "turn your electronics off" is all crap.

As a professional pilot, I can assure you it is not crap. In the United States, all electronic devices must be turned off below 10,000 feet. The reason being is that aircraft use land based navigational aids for departures and arrivals. Your electronic equipment (phone included) can and does interfere with the aircraft's ability to maintain a positive lock on those signals.

If the pilots must fly an approach down to minimum weather requirements...I can attest you don't want anything interferring with the aircraft's ability to lock on to ground based radio signals.

I do fly alot and of course would not want to interfere with anything that could f up the plane. We were at cruising altitude and my gps was on for like 1 min. Im also pretty sure that the GPS is only recieving signals not sending and therefore I thought is allowed during flight. Just think of how many people do ignore the requests to turn off all electronic devices during takeoff and landing...

That's all a conspiracy to get you to use the airline phones.

GPS locks almost instantly whereever I'm at. In the house, in the car...I love this phone!

Technically you could just put the phone in "airplane mode" which just turns off the cellular radio portion and still use the gps and the rest of the phones functions.

Re: How good is the GPS response you ask...this good!

Off topic question: how do you make iGO to fit the whole screen? I had it installed on SD card in my Touch Pro, put the card into Pro 2, software runs fine but it doesn't use the whole screen.
Do you use a different skin or it's a software setup?

Thanks in advance,
David
