Even though the "Mythbusters" show that older phones did not interfere, with dozens of lives at stake, I would rather turn mine off than take the chance. Considering even WIFI flight service has to be disabled below 10,000 ft, some of us need a clue. Ever make a SMS message near cheaper radios and hear the blipping and buzzing??????!!!!!

If the pilots must fly an approach down to minimum weather requirements...I can attest you don't want anything interferring with the aircraft's ability to lock on to ground based radio signals.

I do fly alot and of course would not want to interfere with anything that could f up the plane. We were at cruising altitude and my gps was on for like 1 min. Im also pretty sure that the GPS is only recieving signals not sending and therefore I thought is allowed during flight. Just think of how many people do ignore the requests to turn off all electronic devices during takeoff and landing...
