Re: sprint sucks
So, why are you going to call Sprint? You don't get good signal in your area, you don't like the customer service and you have problems with Sprint phones .... But Verizon is great signal, you like their customer service and somehow get better HTC phones. Seems the choice is simple ... Just go Big Red.

Re: sprint sucks
Hello Family! Let me tell you my deal....I been with sprint for 10 yrs only 1 line and never had a problem...I just wanted them to match the price Verizon is advertising...And I got nothing but NO, I cant, we cant!! My convo was very polite to the rep, the retention mgr, and even the quality service dude....Basically I asked if they would let me leave for 150 bucks and I got YES from everyone...I even said would Mr. Dan Hesse THE CEO of SPRINT agree with that move.... They did mention that what they did in the past is no longer a practice...Im not in a contract, dont want the TP2 for free, just wanted a price match...What the hell..LOL

Re: sprint sucks
just wait a couple weeks, the price of the new phones always drops after a while. sprint won't do it now because so many people are buying it at the over-inflated price right now.

Re: sprint sucks
I went through all the same things with the retention guy at sprint to try to get them to price match verizon. They are too good though, they looked up comparible verizon plans and showed me how sprint's plans are much cheaper and I would save the money in the long run. He also told me that he couldn't even sell me a phone, only telesales or buy it on the web. Closed case right? Wrong!
I asked very nicely if there was anything he could do to help offset the cost for me, like a credit on my account or anything. He told me he could do that and he immediately credited my account $50.00. Not the whole $150 but definately better then nothing. Plus, what other carrier is offering anymobile? That alone is a clincher for me.

Re: sprint sucks
What really cracks me up is this new plan Sprint is making such a huge deal out of. You can talk as much as you want.
A guy I know works for sprint & he told me that one of the reasons Sprint did this is, people hardly ever make cell calls anymore the way they always used to. Between texting, IM, email etc. people have cut WAY back on actual cell voice calls & price has nothing to do with it. I am a good example of that & so is my 20 year old son. We both text like crazy & use almost no minutes a month in actual voice service. My VZ plan gives me something like 800 voice minutes a month (unlimited data/MMS/SMS etc) & I rarely use even half those minutes......... ~John |

Re: sprint sucks
I agree...wait a few weeks, at least wait until the Hero comes out and they'll probably give in to your demands because most people will be calling up to try to get the Hero for free

Re: sprint sucks
reminds me y their stocks are under $5...
btw when sprint figures that they offer the best rates and service around all these threats will be a waste of time... honestly this is a great carrier and its users like this that make companies struggle... I have not been on a contract for over 5yrs i pay full price for all my phones(from 196700 to now) and yesterday i called sprint because my TP1 was acting up, they sent me to a repair store and they said we will give you a new TP2 for your troubles.. Every1 is in business to make money and the whole idea of getting everything for free just defeats the purpose.
