Took my Touch (original) to the store, they replaced it with a Treo Pro. Sold that for $150
Called Sprint and got a $50 credit for resigning to a 2-year agreement
Got the TP2 for $450 + tax = $477ish
Minus $100 MIR
Minus $150 Pricematch Credit
Magically got an extra $150 credit (this might go away... *shrug*)

$477 - $150 - $50 - $100 - $150 - $150 = an extra $23 in my pocket.

Read the post about the TP exchanges for the TP2...
Went to an Authorized Sprint Service and Repair Center...

-Pointed out that my phone was dropping calls
-Pointed out that my screen had "rainbow burn" on it
-Pointed out that there were other issues like folks not being able to hear me...

Sprint wanted to give me a Treo Pro...
I said no way hose, can I get a TP2.
There was a guy, who was the manager, said that they would, but only if I purchased a $129.00 BT Headset...

I did...had them bill it to me.
-I then walked out with the headset, which was crap (Planitronics Voyager 975), and returned the following Tuesday, for my phone...
-I returned and traded that headset in for a Motorola Endeavor with Crystal Talk and Bone conduction....it was even worse...
-I returned that headset got my money\credit back....

in the end, I paid ZERO dollars...
So when the Touch HD2\Adonis arrives, I will be all over that bad boy...

So three days ago i flashed the stock Rom and relocked my Touch Pro cause the key board wasnt working at all. So i when to the sprint store hoping that my HTC 1 year warranty was still valid so i could get a replacement.

Well when the Sprint guy asked me what was wrong i tolled him that it was my 4th TP in less than a year and he said oh yah i remember you from last time. SO he took it to the back where they repair the phone and the manager just said we are done fixing those phones offer him any other phone he wants except the HTC HERO. So we go to the phone section and he tells me that i can choose witch ever Smar tphone i want including a black berry or the PRE. So i looked around a saw the Touch Pro2 and asked him if i could have that one and he said SURE then he apologised for not being able to repair my Touch Pro and i said yah i liked that phone (NOT) and he smiled.

SO MY TOUCH PRO 2 COST ME $000,00 AND I GET THE 1YEAR WARRANTY FROM HTC SO WHAT EVER HAPPENS IM COVERED THATS WHY I DONT PAY FOR INSURANCE SINCE HTC REPLACES THEIR PHONES SINCE THEY COST $500,00+


SPRINT IS THE BEST THEY ALL WAYS REPLACE MY PHONES RIGHT AT THE STORE WITH OUT QUESTIONS AND THE BEST THING OFF ALL IS THAT THEY DO IT FOR FREE.

Paid $11.95 for next day shipping, but 2-4 day was available for free.

Will now do MSIDSN to swap #'s so that one of my off contract numbers is the contract number. Then I can just cancel the off contract line. TaDa! Free Phone!

Now off to find a good ROM

And if your phone is lost/stolen/liquid/physically/charging port damaged??? It's not covered. And as good as you can be with your phones, there's always accidents. So sorry to break it to you "whatever happens" is most definitely not covered.

PS - Caps lock is still cruise control for cool I see
