Re: Sprint Touch Pro 2 Sim Unlocked
Not necessarily, it also comes down to coverage. Depending on your area some carriers will be better than others, and some trail behind pretty severely when it comes to 3G coverage.

Re: Sprint Touch Pro 2 Sim Unlocked
If I remember correctly, the brown areas is where sprint has contract with local carriers. CDMA at $2.00 per minute. It's better to just buy a gsm chip and pay a lot less. Over seas, all incoming calls are free, out going calls you pay like 50Cents or more per minute.

Re: Sprint Touch Pro 2 Sim Unlocked
Why is anyone even raising a question about Nextel/Boost SIM cards? The iDen network has absolutely nothing to do with GSM networks, and would have no bearing on whether or not a TP2 would work better at home using a GSM sim, as they are NOT GSM. Using a SIM card does not make you GSM, as having a transmission does not make a Chrysler a Ford.

Re: Sprint Touch Pro 2 Sim Unlocked
I agree 100%. It's more convenient to use the Sprint SIM because you use the same phone number, but it's so much more expensive. My wife is from Canada and we try to get up there a couple times per year. I'm looking forward to just popping in a prepaid Fido SIM and pay much lower rates than what I've been paying for international roaming.

I Have Sprint Do I Need SIM Unlocker When HSPL Drops?
What the title says.
Are there any advantages to paying the reported 15 bucks or so for the SIM unlocker when HSPL drops? Sprint already comes unlocked for world use but considering that I see no reason to use a different SIM card within the US is there a reason to get pay for the SIM unlocker? Is there anything that could possibly improve my service or should I just skip it altogether? |
