did anyone notice sprint specs for TP2 on htc site???

doesnt say a thing about being able to do gsm at all... go look at tmo's TP2, its lists specs for its wcdma capabilities, including the battery difference... not the case with sprint...

i dont think sprint wants that working period... why else would they not even mention its capable-even if it is overseas only..

Something interesting is that the Telus and Verizon are the same Rhom500 and U.S. Cellular and Sprint are Rhom400

Telus: rhod500 is msm7601
1X EVDO REV A 800/1900MHz, HSPA 2100MHz, GSM/ GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900MHz

Sprint: rhod400 is msm7600
CDMA: Dual-band 800/1900MHz, CDMA2000 1xRTT/1xEVDO rev. A, and IS-95A/B voice or data, with up to 1.8 Mbps up-link and 3.1Mbps down-link speeds

It appears that Sprint's TP2 has all the CDMA standards covered, new and old, but didn't include ANYTHING GSM. I'm thinking that Sprint is NOT a world phone anymore...

Then there's this from the Touch Pro 2's User Guide:
"Your device allows you to roam throughout the world using both CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) and GSM (Global

I don't remember what thread it was, but a couple of days ago I remember reading you ask someone to post pictures of the back of the phone without the cover on and it showed an at&t sim card in the back so I'm pretty sure that it is a world phone.

Now does anyone know if the sprint one will fit the telus back on it?

Well the Sprint TP2 does has the GSM module. Two ways I can tell, one it reads my SIM cards information such as the phone number and text I stored on it, but refuses to find any US-based GSM networks.

Two? The famous GSM pulse buzz, because our office phone (OLD AS HECK) were pulsing when I put the SIM card in there the day I received it.

That was stevedusa photos, and he was testing AT&T SIM cards to see if he could make the phone go GSM I believe. :p

No it does not. I got 2 of them Friday, and it does not come with a case. I was under the impression that they would, but they did not. I made do right now with some old PDA cases, but I am going to have to order some from the corporate rep that I got the hook-up from to get these phones for $0.99 a piece. I think there are some already available for the TP2 if you google search.

hahaha...me too. I went from the mogul>diamond>touch pro>palm pre>blackberry tour (couldn't stand trackball and no touchscreen, but loved the battery life)>palm pre again>and just ordered the touch pro 2 on saturday and hope to get it on wednesday. I just wanted windows mobile again...the funny thing is that I left BECAUSE of windows mobile, but still came back to it...

i was looking at international phones and it just popped up. i didn't know sprint had worldwide service and you can even rent a gsm phone from sprint to travel with! sorry, now back to the tp2!

ok the phone is avail on the sero website and doing the math i currently have 3 old sero accounts @ 40.00 each + 7.00 for insurance...that comes to 141.00...for 1500 minutes...if i switch to the EVERYTHING PLUS DATA FAMILY IT WOULD COME OUT TO 124.98 + 21= 145.98 and i get 1600 minutes...navigation...tv premier...music premier. so all in all...they arent making much if i switch...5 extra dollars which comes back to me in the form of a 15% mrc...

Mine was stuck Louisville from 9/4-9/6. It finally arrived in Rockford, IL and left again, so I think it should make it to Vernon Hills, IL for 9/8 delivery. I was getting worried for awhile myself.

I am tracking my order with UPS yesterday, it said it is scheduled for delivery on 09/08/2009, then I am checking my tracking number today UPS changed delivery to 09/09/2009. I am very disappointed. Will the tp 2 be available in store on 09/08/2009? Does anybody know?
