I've been on the phone with sprint ALOT these last to days and everyone is saying the 8th. I pre ordered through evp and they said they may ship early but wasn't expected to ship until the 8th

I just called my local store and they said I could come in on the 8th, order it through them, and have it overnighted (on my dime) for the 9th. This would jive with what is posted on Sprint's Facebook page about being able to order it on the 8th through the web, Telesales, or in store.

Not to be a bubble burster, but for those expecting it tomorrow, I'd highly suggest you get a tracking number.

I just order the touch pro too. Just got off the phone and I am under the grandfather sero plan. 49.00 so it is compatible with the data plan. costed me 516.62. But I won't get it until 2 days from now. But can't wait. =D>:headbang:

Ok, that fits with the release date then. I'd suspect you'll have it on the 9th. You just won't have to pay the shipping overnight charge. I'm really doubting anyone gets it tomorrow, but good for you if you do.

On a bright point, this is one way of making a 3 day weekend seem much longer. Normally the holiday weekends just buzz right by. :)

I will get it tomorrow since Monday is a holiday tomorrow and Saturday ups is running and I live in the state they ship them from(or at least one of the states they have a warehouse) all I know is come on tracking information!!

Whats up with the price tag?
This press release states it should be $349 after mail in rebate. Note it does not say NEW customers, but customers. Maybe its worth a fight.

Beginning Sept. 8, customers will be able to purchase HTC Touch Pro2 through the Web (www.sprint.com), Telesales (1-800-SPRINT1) and sales representatives for $349.99 with a two-year service agreement and after $100 mail-in rebate.

I can also confirm this as well. I just ordered mine about 25 minutes ago and sprint were the ones that called me. They called from 1-800-632-0669, as soon as I saw the number I new it was them. I honestly thought they were going to tell me I can't do it till next weekk but I that wasn't the case, I got a order number and everything. YAY

Probably gonna have to wait until Best Buy gets it though, because I want the $100 rebate taken out instantly. I don't want to wait 8 weeks for $100.

they called me from 866-463-3018 as soon as I saw the number I jumped up and was expecting "oh they are not order able till tuesday Im sorry" but instead she said it was available I was like HECK YEAH!!!!!!!!!

What are you talking about "its worth a fight"? New or existing customers can get the deal; but only existing get it for $449 if they are eligible for a 2 year renewal.

Ok, now that just gives credence to my concerns about ordering today. I can go in to my local Sprint store (I've already talked with them) and order it on the 8th, pay for overnighting to the store, and have it on the 9th for certain. 2-5 business days could mean as late as next Friday. You can't count today as it's the order day, and you have to deduct the weekend as they are probably not classified as business days, and then Monday is a recognized holiday so you probably can't count it. Thus, Friday and then Tuesday through Friday again would be 5 business days. I absolutely don't want to risk waiting a full week. Of course, 2 days if you are so lucky means you'd get it on Tuesday the 8th, so that would be good. My experience with Sprint shipping though is that you usually get the product on the earliest named day as they do ship fast.

$449 + tax/shipping (which I am going to call later about the shipping, as it seems some people are getting free shipping... Not fair! :protest:)

I'm a sprint premier customer with 1 year under my current contract; premeir gets 2 year upgrades every year.

Damn, I couldn't get anything waived. According to the rep, since I was already getting 25% off my monthly service I didn't qualify for getting anything waived even though I have before, oh well.

With me anyway they at first gave me the shipping estimate then after they gav me my order # they then gave me an exact date for delivery. I was told Wed.

I got shipping and activation (ESM change) fees waived as usual. I only got a $75 discount because I had upgraded not that long ago so I wasn't able to get the $100MIR either :(

I'll second (or third) this too. The latest I've ever received a phone that was said to be received in "2-5 business days" was the 3rd business day.

this is a screen shot of the Sprint page of my order details. The telesates rep told me the phones would start shipping on the 6-7 for pre-orders and I should have it on the sep 8th.

Sweet. On a good note, you are at least confirmed to get it so you don't have to worry about Sprint selling out of the product. That is a plus for early order. I may go ahead and place my order too. It's a shame they aren't offering to allow payment for overnight delivery though. I'd do that it a heartbeat so as not to have to wait any longer.
