HTC PRO 2 Proper 2d/3d Drivers

jethro i dont agree with exiled on most but he is right on most sub $1000 pc's beating a PS3. The PS3 runs at a set resolution usually with lower graphic settings. As it is with PC monitors typically being higher resolution then tvs graphics cards have to be faster. The PS3 has been out for years now, most consumer made mid level graphics cards attached to mid level CPU's will best the Ps3 in every game that is made for both systems.

My friend, First of all, PS3 Cell processor is so Powerful, Supercomputers use it. See qtens post. It is not the same as Desktop computers CPU but it is very efficient at what it does. PS3's cell processor have 8 Fully functional cores. Each cores is designed for a specific function. Sorta lika Tegra. PS3 never have to deal with Windows or any other OS's. It's GPU communicate directly with the game. NO middle man(OS). So eventhough the GPU is not as powerful as the desktop GPU, PS3's GPU performs better. Coz it's the only thing it does.

No doubt about TG01. I has a Powerful GPU. it's just not made for 6.1 as I said B4. It suppose to be released with 6.5 but for some delay reason. It came out with 6.1 anyways. There are a lot of games being developed for TG01. But really, 6.1 aint cutting it.

Also we do not know the power consumption on tegra vs snapdragon ... But I think snapdragon have a big advantage as it is more integrated, but they may be for diferent marquets... U see a 6.1 on TG01. yeah it's sluggish. U should see the 6.5 on it. U'll besurpised with the difference.

Tegra will murder snapdragon on power consumption. That's the 1 thing snapdragon left out of the chip. But Snapdragon still have a great power consumption thou.
for ex. Tegra will play music for 25 days straight on 1 charge. Snapdragon will play music for 60 hours in 1 charge. Now, U see a significant difference.

You are right on TP2. If people would like to see amzing games, Business centric phones should be the last device U wana check.

i browsed this site to see what he was talking about and too my surprise there's no updates since February 14, 2008... If this issue was so pressing and could be fought in anyway I guarantee a lawyer would have picked up this case... Watch late night tv, grab one of those lawyers at least.. But yet nuttin...

5 ex, my advice for you is I hope you come to realize that YES, htc hasnt released the drivers but geez... give yourself a break... you keep fighting an issue thats not going to change....

Good day everyone! I am glad to see most of the replies are staying on topic. As far as the argument goes.. people have solidly realized its a issue and would be great to have the drivers. Will we get them? I am sure we wont. Maybe one day in the future? Maybe? But lets keep this on topic and wait for the Sprint users to judge the phone more once its released to them. So far from other threads it looks like the battery door creaks and bulges a bit but so far I am glad to see no one has mentioned it over heating preventing the battery not to charge.

Why Ex wants the drivers are not the reason for this thread. I don't know if it can match the iTurd. All i know is that i will not be getting a TP2 or any other device without proper drivers. I want the drivers because as we all know, they will help. And the TP1 is not working properly because its missing drivers.

I'm not gonna argue about 6.5 having a page tear. For some it does, and for some it doesn't. That is not the point. My axim x51V never had these problems.

As for the TP2 preforming as it should. I don't have one but turn on #D acceleration on MS3 and tell me what happens. No, seriously - I want to know.

I'll give an example. I have a space invaders knock off on my axim x51v. when i got my tp, i tried running it. It was soooooooooo bad i gave up. I didn't get the tp to play games but it would be noce if it could. we all know that drivers would help overall.

That is impressive. It will be great once we all get off the MSM72xx cpu.

Must of us know this , specially the guys over at XDA. I dont know where the member here thinks I want to match the iphone 3d abilities. I used the iphone as a side by side comparison due to the fact that thru the paper specs of the MSM7200 cpu.. it can come really close. Not to the iphone3gs but to the first gen iphone in which still had very well 2d/3d rendering.
