I dont know how HTC or other company is planning his future roadmap.. but tegra looks more plausible to a multimedia oriented marquet and snapdragon to a business type of people...on wich they may not care about 3d render/drivers as long they have a smooth interface...
And I think smartphones like the TP2 seems more oriented to business people.. ... (meaning we may only see snapdragon on it) (any way it would be a huge step from the MSM7xxx series)

U see a 6.1 on TG01. yeah it's sluggish. U should see the 6.5 on it. U'll besurpised with the difference.
Tegra will murder snapdragon on power consumption. That's the 1 thing snapdragon left out of the chip. But Snapdragon still have a great power consumption thou.
for ex. Tegra will play music for 25 days straight on 1 charge. Snapdragon will play music for 60 hours in 1 charge. Now, U see a significant difference.
