Re: Sprint Network Timezone Problem
Hey Guys,
So I've been doing a bit more searching, and it seems this problem is NOT specific to Sprint; it MIGHT be an HTC issue. I say that based on this thread here: Clock defaults to Pacific Time - HTC Touch Pro2 (US Cellular) - Windows Phone Forums - HTC Community If you look at this post: Posted by civilsin on 2 Apr 2010 2:50 PM It seems to be further evidence its related to DST (which we already knew), but those users are on US Cellular. Furthermore, that was from 2010, and I've had the Touch Pro2 since it was released in 2009, and I had NO ISSUE last year in 2010 with DST changes. So, sadly, it looks like Sprint MIGHT not be to blame on this one, and even sadder, there may not be a fix coming soon as someone else alluded to. But, as another user said, turn off the time sync in your phone settings, then change it to the correct timezone, and it should remain unchanged. I turned it off last night, and it has not changed for me yet. Hoping for a fix, but it's a temp work around for now.

See First Post ... I solved "my" problem. May not solve time zone problems arising from other causes.

Re: (SOLVED) Sprint Network Timezone Problem
Yeah, same thing was happening here in Tennessee to me. I also have an Airvanna. I thought I had fixed it by rebooting my router and my Airvanna but it reverted back several times to CST while I was away from my home.
Another annoying thing was that I was getting upwards of 20 duplicate text messages at random times - again home and away. Was driving me crazy but it seems as if it has sorted itself out now. I created a topi in "general" but it doesn't look like anyone replied... Thanks for posting. David

Re: (SOLVED) Sprint Network Timezone Problem
I had this happen a few years ago while I was in upstate NY visiting. All 5 of our phones were not only changing time but date as well. It showed the date as five months in the future...too bad I couldn't look up lottery numbers.
Turns out it was a problem with only one tower. When we went back to the hotel, the time reset itself. |

Are you still having this issue? If so, did you cycle everything at once, and then, in order, boot modem, router, then airvana? |

Power cycled everything and all is working well again. On a side note, I wonder if Sprint pushed a new update to the airvanna as I have not had to do my almost daily reset to get texting to work. Had been having problems sending/receiving texts on and off since I got it (right after they were released) but that seems to have rectified itself. David |

Btw, I can't see any Airvana data (e.g., Firmware Version, etc.). It won't even respond to pings. |
