*UPDATE*Nov10 HSPL unlock (CDMA) HAVE YOU RECENTLY UNLOCKED?

*edit Friday Nov 12*
More good news! Try this below, from
#90, hit the 90 link & go thank puff60.

1) flash stock 6.5 rom
2) after the rom is loaded, hard reset.
3) after hard reset, do not press "vol up" to boot. instead turn your tp2 off
4) next, press and hold volume down and power keys until bootloader comes up.
5) if you look at the screen on your tp2, you should see "serial" at the bottom in the white area. this should change to "usb" when its recognize by the pc. this means your tp2 is connected and ready to unlock.
6) run the hspl, it should work fine without randomly losing the usb connection to your pc..

*edit*
Newsflash: Please see this post:
#84 for info..
"the creators of the HardSPL are finally responding to my emails. So hopefully everyone else is having an easier time now"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ end of edit ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Can you please post a yes/no, when, & did you hspl unlock from stock ROM that came with your refurb or did you have to flash to an older stock ROM first?
VERIZON? Anyone?? Recently?
This isn't my issue, trying to help at least 4 people here:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/cdma-tp2-u...rdspl-215.html
POST 7 "I'm out of this discussion at this point"
"Obviously the unlocker still works..." many are having issues, feel free to discuss & get them solved... good luck!
Not many people over there anymore... (some have left).. these people can't unlock refurbs, one from Sprint, the other from Verizon (mostly looking for people with one of those carriers) (yes a duplicate question, important enough to be asked in a visible area.
I'm not the one having issues, so there is a possibility something was missed.. BUT, sure seems something has changed to the free HSPL unlocker RECENTLY... "free for private users". Read the last few pages to get a drift of what's going on...
Why post here?
"we are asking that you ONLY start threads in the Upgrade forums that are to release a ROM, Kitchen, or Radio."
...although ironic the unlocker stuff is in CDMA sticky posts at the top of CDMA :>))
Here are the similar threads we found:
The MOST recent it pulled up was from early Jan 2010, the rest from 2009. Did home work, HOLD the comments, unless they're helpful.
Q's
Yes,
aware of the fact Mr. X is working on a unlocker & testers say good things... anyone have any more info, eta. or a DL link?
Does anyone have a trick used most recently to help these folks?
Re: HELP! HSPL unlock (CDMA) HAVE YOU RECENTLY UNLOCKED?
Picked up my refurb (remanufacture date, Sept 2010) Sprint TP2 yesterday afternoon and just unlocked.
Downloaded the unlocker, connected with Activesync, and did the 'Flash hard-SPL' with no issues.
Re: HELP! HSPL unlock (CDMA) HAVE YOU RECENTLY UNLOCKED?
Big thanks to Teradog for taking up this issue.
I cannot believe the success many have had un-locking multiple phones. Exactly my case:
  1. Sept 4, 2010. I lost my phone by stupidly leaving it at a Carl's Jr restaurant.
  2. Sept. 7, I received Brand New TP2 from Asurion and immediately Un-Locked it with Un-Locker with no problem.
  3. Sept 16, Extremely unfortunate for me, I accidentaly left my phone in the bed rail of my truck, from which it fell. Needless to say it was subsequently crushed as it lay on the road, until I recovered it after 3 hours of looking for it.
  4. Sept. 17, I received my, again Brand New in Box TP2, and again I attrempted to Un-lock, but... this time I could not. I repeatedly kept receiving the "you've unlocked a device before... bla bla pay..."
  5. Sept. 19, Submitted for a "ticket" for support at "Olipro Creations" website to resolve my issue because they (Olipro), insists that it is free to "private" users.
  6. Sept. 24, till today, and as I now learned from Teradog, I have nor will I ever get contacted from any support at Olipro creations.
The reason I refuse to pay is on the grounds of principle and common sense. They claim it is "Free" to private users and clearly it is not to me or others who have had this problem.
They claim "Transparency," yet they (Olipro/Cmonex) don't even respond to any issues or questions the users may have since they no longer offer support for the time being.
-Why would anyone want to take the risk and purchase a product that has no support, or any guarantees whatsoever, since the creators of the product are un-reachable?
To add to the distrust, the HSPL-Unlocker needs to install a Hacktool:win32/keygen in order to operate. Of course it is this worm, that is what lets them know if you have previously un-locked any phones before. That of course implies, any computer used to unlock Must accept the Hacktool in order for the HSPL to work.
I'll keep trying alternative solutions, I appreciate any advice and comments.
Thanks.
There isn't a virus in the package. The reason it shows up as one is because of how it works. It checks hardware, downloads files from online, and then tries to access hardware again. Basically, the functionality that allows them to license it also makes it look like a trojan/worm to AV programs. I may have a solution for you though to unlock your phone while waiting for the Mr. X HSPL.
I would really like to hear about your solution! do i "watch this forum" or do i PM you?
my experience with the unlocking problem is what got teradog going on this. my name is marvin, i go by ichthus in this forum.
i have the same symptoms as described in the previous post. i am unable to unlock my phone. i am totally pissed that olipro/cmonex still have the balls to leave their money-collecting website UP and collect our money while having no intentions of helping.
THANKS! Have you unlocked a TP2 with that same computer before? If so, when? You didn't "contribute" correct?
So, you paid for the HSPL unlocker (about $5) correct? Also, WHEN?
Thanks in advance, good to see people are still able.
Well I tried Loading an old Sprint ROM. I went back to WM 6.1, then tried again.
  • Sync'd phone
  • Downloaded a fresh HSPL from Olipro/Cmonex web site.
  • Ran the package.
  • Chose the "Automatic" as recommended.
  • There after received the DAMN message again of "we have detected that you have used this before and bla bla bla... for commercial use contact... so on and so on..." and PAY!PAY! PAy!
Maybe just my luck or something. I am fresh out of ideas. I even tried all sorts of crazy things. One was to extract the .nbh file and rename it "RHODIMG.nbh" and placed it raw in a micro sd so that I could try to flash from the card. No good!
Then I extracted the .nbh file from the stock RUU from Sprint which I had already flashed, and replaced it with a custom .nbh and again, NO GO!
the message your getting...is because you have unlocked from your ip before.now they have recorded your new esn. so basically you gotta pay or contact them and wait and wait some more for them to release your esn. you should of done it from a different ip..or even mac address. i always proxy when unlocking. but thats whats going on. if you donate the 5 your golden. personally i would just so i wouldn't have to wait for them to get back to me. which could take months from what others are saying. also mrx hspl wont work for you as i stated before his doesnt have a jump hspl. so you still need theirs before you flash his.
