I'm a Wii guy myself (2 small children). Just like I won't buy 2-3 cellphones a year, I won't buy more than 1 of a console generation. I find it funny that xbox and ps3 are basically copying what the Wii has done for years. I will say that the games are much more realistic on ps3 or xbox 360, but most of those games kick my butt anyways.

That's good you take your children into consideration when picking a console, no bs, thats great parenting, I just got me and the old lady, I got my xbox 360, ps, and ps2, and I agree with you, I just think its because kids like me grew up on the playstation and ps2 and original xbox, we are hooked on the older stuff so newer stuff is like crack to us, like me when I had my touch pro, I loved it, but wanted more, so I grabbed the tp2, now since its failing me, I fell back to a blackberry, I'm sure once a tp3, if there will be such a thing comes out, I will again be a winmo fiend.

the Wii and children is great for laughs. My daughter was 4 when we got it and she is still undefeated in boxing (2 years later). It's nice that kids so young can play alot of the games. I think we still have a nintendo (8bit), nintendo 64, a gamecube, and 2 ps2's. Not to mention the ds lites they both have.
Apparently the Nintendo 3ds looks amazing, so sounds like x-mas is set now.

nice, very nice, at least its good for your kids, I know the younger ones have so much energy, they could tire themselves out doing something constructive instead of wreaking havoc on the surrounding environment lol
