Re: Overclock TP2 in WM?

Hey everybody, what's the difference between v3 and v4+ of the script (besides the GUI) ???

i have gone back to v3 because i can use the highest frequency (787.2mhz) without any lockups or SOD's. But with v4, 4.1, 4.2 (cab) and 4.21 (cab) I have tried a lot of combinations of clock speeds and polling intervals but SOD's every 10 minutes. (even with low frequencies like 600's)

anybody else experience this or have any idea's?
(P.S. I'm running the the newest NRG MaxSense 6.5)

the scripts are IDENTICAL (at least in terms of the loop that checks your phones status and clocks up/down).

literally the only difference in the loop from 3 to 4.x is that i gave you (user) the control to change the poll interval (in v3 it was 1000).

In regards for dual booting Android/Winmo while overclocked:

I'm not understanding this. I've got it the properties pulled up for setcpuspeed.ink, and in the target box I have the following:

"\storage card\program files\setcpuspeed\setcpuspeed.exe" /boot

What exactly am I renaming?

wow, really. that comes as a surprise to me because i have tried 1000 poling on the 4.x versions. i guess i will just keep playing around with it.

Thank you very much for this awesome script

i was on Mr.X & others.
I found the rom does affect OC limits and Sense slightly.
Of the 21911 Builds, I found only two:
Inferno and Energy both gave me ability to overclock one step higher.
Others I like Mr.X & Vinrom felt stable with sense.
But as another weekend closes, another round of rom upgrades will change things up again for me to flash!

Re: Overclock TP2 in WM?

Please pardon a potentially ignorant question...

I swear earlier in one of the overclock threads mention was made of starting out with an even higher speed to get through the boot procedure more quickly, then slowing the device down to a more "reasonable" OC speed.

Now I see there is a delay created to keep the device close to original speed for boot, then speeding up. What happened? Is there no way to get through the painfully slow boot process more quickly and still have a stable device?

you can use safe mode however you want. instead of setting a low or stock speed, set it high for however long you want =)

The delay you're talking about during startup is for those trying to boot Android. Android will not boot unless the CPU speed is at 528, so safe mode has to be enabled. You can boot with safe mode off and use whatever speed you choose. The phone boots soooo much faster at 806 I can tell you that for sure.

Re: Overclock TP2 in WM?

Well, I finally took the plung. I downloaded Version 4.2 and all I can say is HOLY SHIT.

I seriously NEVER realized how slow my phone was before, now it is blazing fast (Like a stolen Ferrari on fire). I have so far only taken it as far as 692 (well 691.2), but this is still so fast.

I tried to jump from 692 to 787 (or whatever the fastest option was), but it froze up as soon as it tried to make the jump (after the 50000ms delay).

So what is the trick to getting the Processor up over 692? Do I have to do tiny jumps (like hit each step one at a time)? Or was going from 692 to 787 (or whatever it was) just to much?

Maybe I should jump from 692 to like 74x then to 78x? Or what would you guys suggest? Also anyway we can get up to around the 850-900 mark? I read online about some [lucky] SOB that was clocked to almost a Gig (he was at like 978 or 987).

Thanks guys, this program is awesome, and is SO easy to get up and running (seriously took me all of like 15 seconds)
