No you didn't. You found a lot of threads with the words Opera Mini in them. You have not yet found the post with the actual link to the .cab. It may be only a simple matter from this point or it could still be well hidden. It can be very misleading when someone puts up a link such as this and says "Look at alll the posts I found on the subject." However it is quite often very difficult to filter all those thread and find the precise piece of info you are looking for.

No, I found the thread, look at my screenshot. it is titled "Opera Mini 5 Final released" which contains links to the opera website as well as a cab someone uploaded a few posts below.

OP has not answered the question as to why s/he didn't just search via Google--seriously, it's a search engine--for this cab or go to opera.com right off the bat. Instead they come here to search?

I have a feeling that the main idea behind this thread wasn't finding a .cab, but starting a debate on the subject of "search". Which it has done.

I know I don't have a lot of posts here that carry much weight, but I have spent over a decade involved with the Windows Mobile community. One of my pet peeves has always been "seach police"

I know it can be a bit of a pain sometimes to see a question asked multiple times, but realy, it's not something that makes a lot of difference to one's day. Being publicly berated for asking a question that has been discussed before can make a difference to one's day, in a negative way.

Please...please...please...when someone asks a question, if you know the the answer tell them. If it has been asked before simply post a link to it. True evangelists will gladly answer a question repeatedly. Others will quickly pounce on the offender. Which would you rather be known for?

Sites like this work so well because there are many, many, more of the evangelist type who willingly take time out of their day to help others. It would be a shame to see a good site gain a bad rep because a few spend time scaring away potential members.

If it gets out of hand, mods will take care of it. It's not a big deal. I've been a mod, I know what is involved.

Nah it wasn't hidden at all lol :-p I mean it's literally on the first page of results. Common sense would tell most people to check the thread titled "Opera Mini 5 Final Released" thread out of all the possible results

Ok thats it! The mom in me is coming out! What the hell is up with all the rude posts here? That is not what this site is about damnit! This is a community where we all share and help each other out! Stop acting like children for chrissakes and why dont we try to come up with some valid suggestions on how to help improve the search feature?
And to all noobs or anyone else for that matter if you ask me a question and I know the answer I will gladly share that with you and 9 times out of 10 unless the person is being a real ass (which very rarely happens)if I dont know the answer and I would like to know it as well I will search for and post my results without a rude or belittling comment!
