Re: Goodbye TP2
No it doesn't..snapdragon has better battery life as far as the cpu is concerned over the msm7xxx series. We actually would have best battery life if we had full drivers working and could utilize the ati imageon chip to the fullest. That said the snapdragon is still more efficient.

Re: Goodbye TP2
I wanted to stay WM, but that Evo beauty is tempting me. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get it, but I'm definitely gonna keep my TP2. The Evo may just be a late birthday gift to myself.
I thought I would have to switch carriers to get the HD2. Haha! (I really wouldn't though). Not having a keyboard is gonna take some getting used to, but I can manage. Good thing I can test drive the Evo for 30 days.

--------------------------------------------- I don't know why I would need to keep my TP2 as a backup. I just don't think I would ever use it. Especially after I will be using a device with a 1ghz processor. My 3-4 year old HTC Touch running Android seems faster then my TP2. As far as stability on the TP2, I can say I was running Mr X's Rom from 3/5 and have not had any lockups on my device. It definitely made my device STABLE! Thank you to Mr X for his wonderful Roms!!! I don't mind going to a device without a keyboard either. I owned a Diamond as well and I just got used to it. With a 4.3" screen on the Evo and Swype keyboard, I do not see any issues I will have. I would rather have a thinner device and no keyboard. It was one of the negatives to me, the thickness of the TP2. It will be interesting to see who stays and who goes when the Evo is released. I have a feeling a lot of people will even be switching to other Android devices and abandoning there TP2's. While Android might one day be fully ported to the TP2, unfortunately the hardware will be left in the dust.......... |

Re: Goodbye TP2
1)yes there is file explorer like apps
2)Battery life has more to do with the device and battery it carries not android 3)tb overall WM is far more customizable, simply put you just mentioned tf3d theres titanium, custom roms, touchX,SPb mobile shell. 4)Dont see whats the problem with getting the newest version thats almost what custom roms is all about getting the newest and better? Yes Evo will be sweet and isnt called for fanboyism i love my tp2 but you just have to be awwweedd.. by the technology. Quote:
