There may be a time limitation but it really doesn't matter because all the tech do is check if you have it or not..I think their system updates in like 1 hour (I've done same day exchanges before)

They say 30 days. But I had my spare TP1 exchanged for a TP2 5 days after activating it. I don't think you'll have a problem.

Took it into the Sprint Store today. They said I need to bring it into the service center. Told me not to tell anyone I bought it on Ebay. WTF .. it was new in box and Sprint branded. Shouldnt friggen matter.

You told them you bought in on ebay? lol..even though they can tell you didn't buy it from them cause it is in the system you probably don't want to say ebay, some people get very "judgmental"..just come in and say what happened and leave the ebay part out.

Haha I'd keep where I bought the device on the DL. Just look on the website for a repair center...I bet you the replace it with another TP2, I have never gone in there and had my phone repaired.

I also bought a used phone. I added the TEP right after.
Added it to my account on 3/26 and confirmed available on 3/28. Thank you for submitting your request through our Website to add the Total Equipment Protection option. They called it a warranty issue and upgraded me to the TP2 for free. If I had said my daughter broke it, they would have likely made me use my TEP and pay the $100 deductable.
