Re: power button issues on 6.5?
The power problem is not the only issue I am having after the upgrade. The problem list is as long as a grocery list. I thought about going back to 6.1 but I read somwhere that I'd be doing more damage than now.

Re: power button issues on 6.5?
Ok... This is one week after receiving replacement phone from Sprint.
I have to report... NO issues. I wonder if anyone else has had their phoe replaced and if people are still having issues with their phone. p. |

Re: power button issues on 6.5?
I contacted Sprint after this happened to me. I thought I may have downloaded a bad app (didn't tell them ). After almost a day of efin around, and threats of me jumping ship, they finally sent me a "new" (not refurb) phone. I noticed it had a later manufacturing date. I have the new one set up the same way as the last, and so far so good. Not sure if this was/is a problem on early model phones, or this was just a coincident. Leave it to Sprint to screw up something as common as an update!

Re: power button issues on 6.5?
I have had this problem ever since I loaded WM6.5. After a lot of tinnkering, I broke down and went to the Sprint store. They are ordering me a replacement. I have seen that others have been able to get a brand new phone. I don't have insurance, so is a new phone rather than a refurb a possibility for me?
Once I get the new phone, I'll let you know if the problem has gone away. |

Re: power button issues on 6.5?
This issue caused me to return to 6.1 all together. Azteca - What is the manufacture date on your phone?.....how do you even find out the manufacture date?
And for anyone curious. When I had my issues it was Stock as Stock could get. It did this with or without SenseUI running. It really did turn me off of 6.5 so if there really is a fix - OR Sprint willing to replace the things with newer ones - please goodness tell me. |

Re: power button issues on 6.5?
i was having this issue as well after initially installing wm6.5 and like everyone else, it was an annoying pain. i read a possible fix on this forum and it has worked for me. i'll state it again and hopefully it will also work for others. i hope i'm not posting something that has been mentioned many times already in this thread.
this is what i did, really simple: 1) back up data on phone (activesync for me does it) 2) reinstall wm6.5 3) turn off phone after installation is completed and first reboot 4) conducted a hard reset (press "Send" & "End" keys, plus the "Power" button on top of the phone, then let your phone fully reboot). this worked fine for me and i haven't had a single issue since.

And for anyone who might be interested... Still no problems... This is now several weeks later. Also it is a refurb. it was refurbed 4/1/2010. However... it's new to me and I'm completely satisfied with it. p. |

Re: power button issues on 6.5?
Might sound silly, but thats why i like the action key... less use of your start/stop hard key
