Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile6.0) Sprint T7380)

Is anyone experiencing issues with the power button working intermittenly? Sometimes the phone will just not respond to single/multiple/long button presses when the screen is off and I have to soft reset.

I think it may have to do with Keyboard Config which I already removed, but the issue still persists. I'm going to hard reset unless anyone knows of a fix.

thanks!

Good to know it's not just me. Do you have Keyboard Config installed? Just trying to narrow down the causes.

Re: power button issues on 6.5?

Thank you so much for these posts because I have been having the same issue. But you are right no one seems to have an answer because I have asked about this issue in a couple of threads. I really gets on my nerves but I put up with. It sure does make using a Seidio hard case a pain because I'm constantly having to do soft resets.

Re: power button issues on 6.5?

At least I know I am not imagining this now! I have a dent next to my power button, happened like 3-4 weeks ago. I thought maybe it started affecting the button. But since the upgrade I noticed I may have to hit the power button 2-3 times on occasion.

Just randomly, not all the time. I thought maybe I am not pushing it down hard enough. But come to think of it, I don't do it any different than I did before the update? Makes me feel better it's likely not a hardware issue.

Re: power button issues on 6.5?

Yea, I get this every now and then. I'm running MightyROM 03/23/2010. I noticed that when I get emails, my phone vibrates and the status light blinks green, but my screen doesn't turn on. I'll go to turn it on so I can see what my emails are, and this is when this issue occurs. Sometimes I do a long press and it comes on upon my release; sometimes I press and press and press until it comes on; sometimes I soft reset. So, usually happens after my email notification. I think it's happened randomly at other times, too, though.
