Re: power button issues on 6.5?

Does anyone have S2U2 or lockscreen, etc. installed? Sometimes these cause my phone to lag after I turn it off, thus taking a couple presses to turn the phone back on. But I've always assumed that this is because of the time lag in the actual "off" procedure.

I don't have either one of these applications installed on my TP2. I am using the MM's latest 6.5 2.5 ROM. However, I don't think it is ROM related because this was happening on occasion when I was using the new stock Sprint ROM for a few days. I hope this is not hardware related. Just to piggy back on a previous post, I too noticed that it would happen after I received an e-mail. I'm just glad to hear some feedback, perhaps we can get this problem figured out.

Re: power button issues on 6.5?

Hmm, interesting that it's happening to more than just the stock 6.5 rom. Never was a problem on 6.1. I have lockscreen installed but it doesn't seem like any one combination causes it. Not sure how to narrow the issue down now

Re: power button issues on 6.5?

I have this issue sometimes after a soft reset. It seems that after I pass the music tab it has to re-read the entire music library. Mine is about 8gb of music. Until this is done bluetooth connections for playing music will not work correctly, and at times the power switch will not turn on the phone. Once the read is done, it seems to work well.

Re: power button issues on 6.5?

I have this massively with the new MM rom. It is so annoying because the phone just randomly chooses when its not going to turn on. Taking out the stylus lights up the keys, sometimes. It is really getting me mad.

Re: power button issues on 6.5?

I made it through yesterday w/o having to soft reset because of this problem. This is the first in a while. I don't know what I could have done to make it work. The only thing I did was to change how often the phone performed updates for my e-mail and twitter applications. Go figure! lol.
