Re: Sprint TP2 6.5 OEM Freezes when Exiting SMS/MMS
im having the SMS/MMS freezing issue as well..anyone have a fix? it seems to only happen if ive used the phone for longer than like 8 or 9 hours..on a fresh boot it takes a few seconds longer than anything else to close out but closes out fine..when it starts freezing it takes about 20 or 30 seconds to finally go back to Sense..

Re: Sprint TP2 6.5 OEM Freezes when Exiting SMS/MMS
Has anyone figured this out? I just want to throw my phone down and stomp on it everytime I get a text, because as sure as I close the thread, the phone locks up for a while. I've done everything you can imagine to try and fix it. I've hard reset, different roms, restoring texts, not restoring texts, sense on or off -- it doesn't matter. It's not "definitely sense" it's not "delete your texts lol", it happens intermittently regardless of all the variables I've tried changing.
What I can't understand is why there isn't a massive uproar about this. My guess is that most people don't experience this problem, which baffles me. What's different on their phones than mine? |

Re: Sprint TP2 6.5 OEM Freezes when Exiting SMS/MMS
My TP2 did\does the same thing. I found that deleting sent and recieved text messages helps increase performance. I also noticed that when I open a text from someone who I don't text often it works ok but when it's someone I text everyday the phone freezes.
Manually deleting the older messages has been the only thing that has worked for me so far. |

Re: Sprint TP2 6.5 OEM Freezes when Exiting SMS/MMS
My suggestion:
1. Delete picture messages - sort by "Message Type," then Menu/Select Messages/Several, and select + delete all messages over 1kb in size. I also noticed that accessing or trying to delete one or multiple files causes a similar freeze. 2. Switch to Classic View. This isn't really a fix but it gets rid of the annoying freeze. |
