i have the issue of after a soft reset, the first text will freeze on the message screen and not show new texts as the first one, they are listed as the second text. kind of frustrating, but hey, its an OEM so its not perfect

I was having the same issue myself. Even after installing the GT2L clean up cab. It got worse when I ran a custom taskbar, dark ninja. I removed the taskbar and added TSOwens newest task bar and it seems okay now. Sometimes it gets slow, but it doesn't lock up like it first was. Nice to see someone local, I'm in Brentwood.

I wish it only happened after a soft reset or only after the first text but it happens all day everyday, I had this same issue with Mighty Rom and as well as NRGZ, no sooner do I close my txt screen my phone totaly locks up some timed up to 5 min, and it is only progressively getting worse, I have also done a hard reset to try to resolve the issue but it continues to come back, regardless if I put any mods on the phone or leave it stock, any other thoughts?

How many saved text messages on the phone? 6.5 does not seem to like a lot of texts. On 6.1 I had over 18,000 (I avg 3k/month and don't delete often out of laziness) with no issues. With 6.5 I find I normally have issues and have to delete them at least twice a month. The more I leave on there the worse it gets. I have never had to wait 5 minutes but certainly several minutes. Though I know there are also times where I just get aggravated and soft reset instead of waiting as well.

Have you had any texts fail to send? I hate a theory it's somehow related to when a text fails to send, and you get the red "click here to retry" link in the thread.

im having the exact same issue. my phone seemed fine until i synced via microsoft myphone

I live in Brentwood myself, near the Oakley border. I, too, am having this issue. A few days ago, I made Task Manager an icon on my today screen and frequently end all running programs so that this does not happen.

Anyone else notice how Active Sync is running consistently in the background? I remember when my Mogul did this and when the software was updated to WinMo 6.1, Sprint eliminated it from start-up.
