Registry Edits:

classic volume - delete HTCVolume folder in Registry

Disable Notification - HKLM\Services\NOTIFICATIONMANAGER\Flags. It should be 0 by default - change it to 4.
This stops the HTC notification manager running and restores the default WM functionality.

Stop Settings from going to Settings Tab -
1. with Total Commander move htcsettings.lnk from the Start Menu.
2. Search the registry for hidesettings and change it from 1 to 0.
now softreset and you'll be ready to go

Just an FYI: to find the hidesettings key in the registry go to:
HKLM\Security\Shell\StartInfo

- Turn off Keypad Vibration -
1. Go to HKLM\Software\HTC\Phone\PhoneExtendSettings
2. Change the DWORD value name "KeyPadVibration" from one to zero.

Yes, there are other tweaks threads out there, but I love that you actually go through, and pull all the links people put on individual posts and put them back on the front page. There's times I've given up trying to find things after going through page after page.

So I went back to some of the tweaks found in psycho_maniac's awesome thread that helped me out on the 6.1 OS TP2 & tested them to see if they would work on 6.5 for me.

The ones below that worked before still do today.
Change save location of MMS
Another BAttery Increase
Email and Attachments on your Storage Card
Eliminate the lag when taking a picture
save camera pictures to /Storage Card/My Documents/My Pictures

But the main one which I was most interested in & have verified working & is able to survived soft resets is the data connection auto off - Disconnect Internet after 60 sec's.
This is crucial because I noticed that when you tap on the battery meter in the taskbar before, you see that the timer is still running with live data which is purportedly dormant or disconnected!
But this tweak actually turns off that data after 60 seconds. The timer doesn't show.
I just checked again just now coming back from the Facebook app.

What does this mean?

Well - if it works like it did on 6.1 - the 6.5 battery drain just stopped for me!
(btw - I cheated & used strra's cab that does the same thing & floating around ppcgeeks via search)

Also, in your link, it is mentioned that:

Default is #777 and should not contain anything about GRPS

where as my default is:

#777
~GPRS!

Also your link says the reg path as:

HKLM\Comm\CommMgr\Planner\Settings\

where as the correct path is:

HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings\

I verified this on the most recent update, so now I leave it as is.

So while the data disconnect tweak works perfectly, there is a nasty side effect:
- When your data IS re-connected & there is a phone call, you can't answer a call during web surfing or mail downloading.

For example: My push email is checking for mail, a phone call comes in simultaneously.
I slide to answer.
Rings stop but I cannot hear the other party & vice versa.

Shallylive's suspendresume#777 tweak works to counteract this effect- however, it keeps the data ON thereby negating the data disconnect cab altogether.

Any solution for best of both world?
