This is not true, corporate discounts or any type of discount applies to the whole bill. If some gets 25% off for working at home depot the 25% is applied to the whole bill including app purchases, ringtones, or insurance.

Unfortunately that's incorrect in regards to sprint's mobile bill.

I am staring at my sprint bill from last month, and I'm one of the few lucky one who have SERO + 20% CORP discount. I could get 25% but I'd rather not touch what I have as already a good thing.

Individual items are discounted line by line, with 20%, and TEP is a full $7 NOT discounted. Surcharges and Gov't Taxes are NOT discounted.

It may be 25% off the whole bill at Home Depot, but not on my sprint bill.

actually i don't work for home depot that was just an example. I use to work for sprint as i supported myself thru college and i set up accounts all the time. I must be alot luckier then you are cause i'm looking at my sero plan as we speak and i get 25% off my bill and its off everything, including insurance.

that's interesting. maybe it's because you work for sprint and it's discounted after the total?

for whatever reason mine is not 20% off the total, but line by line discount.

Re: SERO + Company Discount = NO!!

The Sprint Rep was even talking to me about the SERO family plans, he said there was no point since you could get a corp discount added to other plans making it about the same price plus you wouldn't be locked down on what phones you could use.

Re: SERO + Company Discount = NO!!

Can we upgrade to a SERO family plan from or normal Sero plans?
I am wondering that, right now... aloud...

i disagree my friend. because before upgrading to the tp2, i had the early nights & weekend and text messaging plan on my free incoming plan. i also bought a few ringtones and stuf from the sprint store. my corporate discount never applied to them when i got the bills. looking at the bill i can tell it only applies to the monthly charge. because looking at my bill's account summary page, the first column is the "monthly recurring access charges" and then "service discount/adjustments" column. and then the rest of the services after those two columns. and it clearly indicates on there that sprint is only putting the discount on the actual monthly plan charge. if it was applied to all charges, that adjustment and credits column will be the very last column indicating that they applied the adjustments/credits to all things that i was getting charged for. so unless it is included in your actual monthly plan and not an optional add-on plan, your corporate discount does not apply.

but then again, i am not on SERO plan. they might bill differently between the two types of accounts (SERO and regular accounts). and with that said...sorry to hi-jack the thread and veer out of the SERO topic.

Hey I could be wrong. But on my bill that I'm staring at I get 25% off everything including insurance and including the I'm+ program I purchased also the call tone I purchased was discounted.

Re: SERO + Company Discount = NO!!

My 20% corporate discount applies to everything, such as the plan, addons like extra texts, international calling (discontinued since I have GV now), even navigation...everything except for the insurance. And yes, I'm on SERO still.

just as i thought. it looks like the billing when it comes to corp discounts are different between you guys' SERO and the rest of us on a regular plan dangit!!...maybe i should buy me one of them SERO plans then!!...LOL. but even if i do that, with the new billing, my corp discount would not apply if i bought a SERO. so it would be a choice between "the lesser of two evils"....lol.
