Re: Shattered my screen :(
Does Verizon let you add insurance anytime you do an ESN swap? Sprint does and a semi loop hole is to swap ESNs(an old phone you may have), add the insurance, then wait(I think its 21 days) then file a claim. Idk if Verizon allows this though

screens are 70ish iirc. do it yourself itll save you pain. you can honestly replace anything in these phones for fairly cheap but doing multiple parts is where a new phone becomes more viable. hell i even think that a motherboard with radio is 200ish.

No, Sprint's great for that, you can buy a used phone from e-bay or craigs list and still get full TEP. I'll take that even though our deductible is $100 versus Vzw's $50 since I can put piece of mind on my phone anytime. |

Re: Shattered my screen :(
exactly what i posted, i even made it simple and linked a 25 dollar digitizer listing that is good for 25 days. just ask around the little repair shops if you are nervous about doing it yourself. if they give you some high price quote ask them how much is the labor. then tell them you will bring your own digitizer in and they can charge their small labor fee.

1. Call Verizon using *611 and when the robot women asks where you would like to direct your call, say "Data Services". It will say something about needing help with your PDA... keep going through all the menu's that refer to a PDA. 2. When you get a customer service rep on the phone, tell them that you had talked to a Verizon representative at the store and they said that since you only cracked the plastic layer above the LCD and not the LCD its self that you could get a replacement for 50 bucks. Ask them if that is true or not. Kind of play dumb and let them tell you what your options are. I wouldn't demand a replacement since it seems like it's up to whoever is on the phone to decide if they want to give you that deal. 3. If that doesn't work wait a couple of days and call again. Most of the people at the verizon stores are retards in my experience, the people on the phone are much more helpful. The first time I called in the $50 dollar replacement wasn't even an option according to the representative. The second and third time I called both representatives knew about the $50 replacement. Most of the reps on the phone seemed to generally care that I was happy and for that Verizon has my money for at least the next couple of years or so Hope this helps |
