I did not know that, thanks for the tip. Can you add applications and music through the system files? Also can you access your system files and take the music and applications from your Iphone and put it on the computer?

You access the iPhones system files thru your computer. drag and drop any files in there(in the correct folder). Install apps(even cracked), customize the Theme, Total control of the device. But you gotta be careful not to mess with important files.

I don't think you understand. The OS can do that. We already know that. The problem is the 3rd party Apps. There is no clear statement about 3rd party apps being paused in the background. That is what the discussion in XDA about and the backwards compatibility.

Good to know. I'll definitely be avoiding 7 now. Good thing they're keeping 6.x around.

I know they might come out with 'new & better' alternatives to my old apps like someone else said, but boo to that. I LIKE my outdated apps, consarn it. They work just fine & I ain't paying for new ones.

Re: What do you think of Windows Phone 7?

Being a developer, no backwards compatibility makes me really cringe at WP7. If I'm going to recode something, I'll just do it in Java for Android.

^ I foresee a lot of WinMo users adopting Android thanks to this unbelievable blunder. Hell, I even thought about it until I heard they were keeping 6.x around.

Re: What do you think of Windows Phone 7?

It's hard to work around the compatibility issue coz the requirements is .net and silverlight. Codes from existing apps is c++. Unless somebody comes up it something like an emulator to run apps coded in c++.

I think that is stupid on MS's part. But I wouldn't blame them if they wanna drive to a different direction. This means a fresh start.

Plus the fact that there is gonna be some explaining to do in MIX about 3rd party apps multitasking support. There is no need for explaining if it's totally supported. Just say "Yes it has!"

6.5 is nice and all, but Android is just so much nicer for me. Having a customizable device without having to hack the hell out of it is a great thing.
