sprint is a mess, but i always use ecare (email help)... they seem to do the best job at satisfying customers. don't go back to flip, try ecare, but be as nice as possible while sounding dissatisfied. if that doesn't work, get a droid/droid eris or imagio if youre going to verizon. hd2 in march from tmobile. or if youre willing to stick with sprint (prob not), wait for the htc supersonic or go with a hero

NEVER go to the sprint stores for help unless ABSOLUTELY necessary. These guys are about as informed as the kid taking your grocery bags out to the car when it comes to the phones and the TP 2 is probably at the bottom of their knowledge list. I know there are probably a few good sales folks at these places but you will achieve greater success by dealing with telesales and support over the phone. Many times it is even quicker to get a new phone exchanged this way also, not to mention if they screwed up, they will likely do something nice for you to try and make up for it unlike the buffoons at the store. When you have to take your TP2 into a store and then take a number to wait, that should tell you something about their service...I am not sure how "wobbly " your screen was but I hope it was very wobbly as there is some "wobble" aon all the TP2 screens . I can tell you that the corporate discount you receive with Sprint is about as good as there is as it is applied to your entire bill instead of just one qualifying voice line such as Verizon. I have 5 lines with everthing plus on Sprint and you cant touch the discount anywhere else as of right now. If it's not too late, I woul make one more attempt to contact a tier 2 level support rep and tell them the issue and see if they can ship you an advance exchange and maybe a small credit to offset the inconvenience. The TP2 is a damn nice phone and the rate plans are good when combined with a corporate discount.

Don't think that VZW reps are going to be any better....specially ones in the stores.

Hardware issues are a problem for any carrier.....Sprint, VZW, USCellular, etc. They all have the flaws when dealing with the issues.

I came from US Cellular to VZW. Had smartphone on US Cellular and hated there customer service....they knew nothing of the phones they sold.......fast forward 4+yrs and on Verizon and run into the same issues.
When I ordered my TP2 online, I had to call in to get it activated....it took 3 different reps before they figured out what phone I was trying to activate.
I had to send the original purchased phone back to VZW.
The K key did not work Right out of the Box. Had it activated for a total of 2 mins before I tried to text out only to find the K key on the keyboard did not work.
2nd one and current one is flawless.

I would not trade my TP2 for anything right now (when WinMo 7 drops to VZW and HTC has a dual core chip or better on a phone then will look hard, but thats probably 2yrs+ away).

Go to a GSM carrier like ATT or T-Mobile. All you have to do is pop in a sim card instead of all the other BS you gotta deal with CDMA phones.

I been with Sprint since 2001. I understand economy is tough and they cannot throw money and give us credit like they use to like back in the day. They always treat me respect and took care of me. Lately I get I just get the feeling that don't care of me or my business.

Trust me, I tried to complain to sprint and the rep told me to email him my experience and you know what, I did not hear back from Sprint at all. I am just tired and trust me, I was extremely upset at that store. Of course I would never curse or be rude but that supervisor I was talking with which looked like some punk kid, was smirking the entire time... unprofessional..

Anyways thanks guys... I really gave up on sprint.. good luck guys... i will definitely check out the gsm and cdma touch pro 2. I really liked the build quality of the verizon TP2. it was solid like a rock..

word of advice to all... NEVER let sprint stores fix your phone, unless you know them personally and even then be very careful...

haha one more thing, many people have asked about my pouch, which i had for probably only 2.5 weeks before this incident.. if i don't end up getting the verizon pouch, i have no problem letting it go.. anyways, i digress...

good luck guys.. and my fav thing about getting my sprint tp2 was honestly the help i got from here getting started... thanks...

Man sorry about your experience with your new phone. I want to start off saying I am an indirect sales rep at a small town local store. We are not a repair center but I do my best to fix all software problems any of my customers may be having. We call Sprint on behalf of our customers for billing error questions. We work very hard, respectively, for our customers. I constantly have to deal with sprint tele-care and they can be worse than those you found instore. Our store is not required to help like this, our only competition in town is Wally world and they do less than 10 phone a month. Our store would have dropped another NIB TP2 in your hands. I think you might find others in these forums that would agree some sprint stores are spot on. Who got a free TP2 because they had a poor TP1? Anybody on big red or att?

I like to compare these experiences with Subway. Sometimes you go to a Subway and they give you lots of the fixings you want and free double the cheese on warm fresh bread. Other times the associates an ass, they give you almost no fixings, the breads stale and they over salt and pepper like crazy. But even after all this you don't stop eating at Subway. Why? because their footlong sandwiches are $5!!! This is Sprint in a nutshell.

You hurt local people/business/economy shopping online. That said if my local store was an ass, I'd shop online too.

That sucks i know what you mean the customer service at all phone stores sucks. i had a guy sue my mom cuz she altered her plan with at&t which has nothing to do with him. he only sold her the phone and plan. i really wanted to go back to the store and beat that fat loser up. but my mom stoped me. luckly my dad was there or he would have sent me there to do it anyway lol. but its always better to deal with the over the phone service cuz they can give you way better deals and they dont care about the revenue of their store cuz they dont have one so they just hand stuff to you sometimes.

Edit: what was wrong with the screen by woobly do you mean when you tilt it up. cuz mines does that i really dont mind it cuz i nvr tilt it anyway. but i wouldnt give up on the tp2 i love mines.
